Dictionary of Environmental Science and Technology
by Andrew Porteous
Edition: Paperback
Price: £22.00

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent resource for the lay-person, 29 Oct 2008
This comprehensive text on environmental science and technology is an excellent resource for the layperson and the academic alike. It covers a vast range of environmental issues which are particularly relevant today as we move towards a greater sensitivity and awareness of environmental issues. Andrew Porteous is to be congratulated on his capacity for a scholarly approach to the subject whilst talking in language that is accessible to the ordinary man and woman who is concerned with these issues.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent book that combines theory and practice, 24 Feb 2008
Ernesto Spinelli provides an excellent account of existential psychotherapy in which he demonstrates the inter-related focus of his work. He combines his theoretical discussion with illustrative clinical examples and also provides exercises related to the theme which serves to make this a good book for trainees and trainers in the psychotherapy field. However, having made that point, I also wish to emphasize that I would recommend this book for all practising professionals who are interested in existential ways of working.

5.0 out of 5 stars On learning from our mistakes, 29 Jan 2008
In this book Mr Casement discusses the inevitability of practitioners at times 'missing' their clients and gives very valuable guidelines from his own clinical experience of how to approach such 'mistakes'. As in his other books, Mr Casement bases his discussion in his own clinical material and conveys to the reader a vivid account of this process of misattunment and repair. This is an excellent book which has proved invaluable to me and my students.

This is an excellent, honest account of Mr Casement's life story giving a very clear sense of the relationship between his personal experience and his choice to become a psychoanalyst. I particularly valued the openness of his account and the privilege of sharing the experiences of a man who has integrated these into a compassionate
stance as an analyst.
