5.0 out of 5 stars More wacky fun from all at Cage & Fish!!!!!, 5 Jun 2002
This is the second part of a great series !!
All the favourite characters are back along with some new ones, notably Taye Diggs, and guest stars including the likes of Anastasia, Barry Manilow, Anne Heche and Sting!
Has Ally found true happiness with Larry ? (played brilliantly as always by Robert Downey Jnr.) Is Ling really Richard's soulmate? Is John (the hilarious Peter MacNicol) still in touch with Barry White? Watch it to find out!
With the usual mixture of outlandish cases, bizarre hallucinations, Fishisms and old flames combined with the music of Vonda Shepard, which is an intregal part of the show, this is not to be missed!

4.0 out of 5 stars One pair of shoes you definately wouldn't want to be in !!, 5 Jun 2002
I was attracted to this film mainly as I am a fan of Robert Downey Jnr. This film is definately a showcase for his talents, which range from singing both opera and Jackie Wilson's "You Don't Know Me" and playing the piece of music "Snakes" (which he himself composed) to improvised acting and performing an extract from Hamlet.
This film is certainly not like any other film I've seen. Downey Jnr is infuriatingly charming, despite being caught out by his two girlfriends he still tries to talk his way out of it, the classic line being "I'm an actor and actors lie".
His two girlfriends react alot more calmly than I would! Natasha Gregson Wagner is great as streetwise Lou but I'm not really a fan of Heather Graham and she is particularly bland in this role.
Though the whole film is based in the same apartment and is very dark at times, this film is still worth seeing. Great for fans of Robert Downey Jnr and hopefully a deterent for any potential double-daters!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for fans of the musical!, 18 May 2002
This review is from: Anchors Aweigh (Audio CD)
This soundtrack has all the charm of the classic musical!
As the songs of all three main stars are featured, accompanied by music from conductor Jose Iturbi, this CD is a brilliant way to recreate your favourite parts of the musical.
Notable tracks are the full length edition of "The Worry Song" featuring Jerry The Mouse and a young Frank Sinatra's heart-meltingly romantic ballads. My particular favourite tracks are the the Sinatra-Kelly duets (especially the hilarious "If You Knew Susie"), Sinatra's rendition of "Brahm's Lullaby" and soprano Kathryn Grayson's "Jealousy".
Though the tracks featuring just music are not really to my taste, they still remind me of scenes from the film, for example: "Mexican Hat Dance" which plays when Gene Kelly dances with the little mexican girl.
This Soundtrack is great for fans of "Anchors Aweigh" or the three main stars. A Bargain!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A 'S Wonderful tribute to a Hollywood gene-ius!!, 4 April 2002
After searching shops in vain for a Gene Kelly album,I found this on It is well worth the price as it contains Gene's best songs, aswell as an info-packed album sleeve with classic photos and all you need to know about Gene and the many musicals he appeared in.Though ideal for fans of Gene Kelly or musicals and hopeless romantics like myself, it is still a good, easy listening album for anyone to enjoy. With light-hearted, feelgood songs that either make you smile or make your heart melt, you can't help but sing and dance along! My favourites are: the sentimentally romantic "You Were Meant For Me,the adorable "The Worry Song" with Jerry the mouse, the charming "I Got Rhythm", the quirky "Good Morning" and of course the classic "Singin' In The Rain"
A fitting tribute to a uniquely,multi-talented and passionate performer. As Gene sang himself: "...who can ask for anything more?..."

2.0 out of 5 stars Average film, Not Bullocks Best, 26 Mar 2002
This review is from: Love Potion No. 9 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Loser in love Paul (Donovan)is a biochemist who is given a bottle of love potion no.8 by a gypsy. He confides in equally geeky comparative pscho-biologist(!!) Diane (Bullock), who he secretly fancies. The two oddballs test the potion on themselves and immediately become attractive to members of the oppposite sex and they take full advantage of this! They meet up and look set to live happily ever after, until Diane suddenly says she's in love with her ex-lover, but all isn't as it seems and only love potion no. 9 offers Paul any chance of winning her back.
Enjoyable at times, but average performances from the two leads and a bland ending indicate why this film isn't particularly well known.
