I chose this version because of it's price which was 75% than the High Street. The memory feature holds many tests so it is useful to monitor changes over time

Frank Hornby: The Boy Who Made 1, 000, 000 Dollars with a Toy
Frank Hornby: The Boy Who Made 1, 000, 000 Dollars with a Toy
by M.P. Gould
Edition: Hardcover

4.0 out of 5 stars Frank Hornby, 28 Nov 2010
I bought a 1975 reprinted version, and it's perfect for young and old who want to know a pocket version of Frank Hornby's life. At only 6 x 3.5 inches it takes the adult back to his/her childhood. Easy to read with good size font, and peppered with black & white drawings and photographs of his inventions and manufacturing details. Probably written for the American market after his success there in selling Hornby Meccano

4.0 out of 5 stars Good unusual gift, 6 Jan 2010
This review is from: Top Gear: Daft Cars (Hardcover)
I bought this book because I actually own one of the few Amphicars ever sold on the front cover. However there were many unusual cars listed in the book, some were older starting in 1938 whilst some were concept cars. Each page has a picture of the car and then one full page of text describing it's history and success or not ! A great coffee table book, but in my case one to add to my collection of Amphicar stuff !

5.0 out of 5 stars Details of the lakes, 31 Aug 2009
I bought this book after having seen it in a local bookshop in Grassmere and not willing to pay full price. It gives lots of useful information about all the spots to visit when in the lakes. The maps are very accurate and are a useful planing tool for visiting each lake covered in this book. I use it for information paricularly on Englands largest lake 'Windermere' to explore areas not covered by any other map.
