5.0 out of 5 stars Good solid worker, 19 July 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this laptop looking for a nice simple and easy to use computer that I could surf the net on and play a few games. It replaced my old worn out one very well. It is fast, light, portable and easy to use. The battery has a good life on it and the screen is a good size. All in all a very good product

4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful stuff, 5 Sept. 2005
Before I begin this review I must confess that I know the author and therefore am likely to be a bit biased in his favour so feel free to take the review with a pinch of salt if you like.
The Black Devils March is a well writen and excellently researched acount of the actions of a little reported division in WWII. The author obviously knows his stuff and there is a great balance between the details provided and the background to set the actions in context. I have only given the book 4 stars because it is let down in parts by the less than brilliant editing but on the whole I would recomend the book to both academics and ordinary readers as well worth buying, it truly does credit to the brave men who served in the division.

Seize and Hold: Master Strokes on the Battlefield
Seize and Hold: Master Strokes on the Battlefield
by Bryan Perrett
Edition: Hardcover

5.0 out of 5 stars Real life drama, 6 Mar. 2003
Forget your soaps, your Hollywood blockbusters or your Tom Clancy novels, this is action at its best. Perrett describes the action on the field of battle with a penache which few can match. Each of the battles is set in its historic context with a brief description of the circumstances that led up to it and its concequences. A worthy read for anyone especially those interedsed in tank warefare. The only real fault with this book is that it ignores earlier battles which could conform to the title, however the author explains his reasons well. As you may have guessed I recomend this book heartily.
