Dean ML X Electric Guitar - Classic Black Finish
Dean ML X Electric Guitar - Classic Black Finish
Price: £190.00

4.0 out of 5 stars DEAN ML X GUITAR also known as DEAN - NOIR KNIGHT XT MLX - GUITAR...The Luck Of The Draw, I Hope You Find A Winner!, 18 May 2016
Ahh Yes, the luck of the draw when buying a electric guitar that is made in China. Having purchased the fantastic DEAN - DIME SIGNATURE BLACK BOLT ML (String Thru Body)- GUITAR in December 2015, I found the ML fit me perfect in every way, the way it hangs on the strap over your shoulder, it feels great with its distributed weight. So I decided I wanted another ML and not wanting to break the bank my options were the DEAN - ML XM Trans Black and DEAN - ML X Classic Black finish or the DEAN - ML X TBZ Trans Brazilia finish. I went with the ML X Classic Black guitar. To my surprise the instrument was perfect. No issues with sharp fret crowns (a common issue with made in China guitars), the neck was good and straight. My model was produced in 06-2015 and I must say I was impressed with the stock DMT Design bridge pick up, it is very hot and crunchy, great mid range gain for picking out harmonic squeals on the fingerboard. My friend has a 2013 production model series ML X in Black and it had to taken to the local guitar shop to have the fret crowns dressed and filed down. So i'm thankful my guitar was in such good quality and it's workmanship was very good. The one issue I have is that Dean has taken away Grover Tuners which used to be on all their models up until 2012/2013. This move was made in order to keep the suggested retail price list lower than its competition. I for one would pay the extra money in order to have Grover Tuners installed as I ordered a set of 3x3 Grover Tuners as the no-name stock tuners that Dean is now using just are not very good, and have given poor performances, i've had to fine tune after every song played. I never have to deal with tuning problems with my guitars that have Grover Tuners installed on them. Other than the tuners, everything else checks out great on this guitar, the maplewood neck is straight and true adjustable with the Tune-O-Matic String Thru Body Bridge. With a little work and a few add-ons (Seymour Duncan SH 13 Dimebucker Bridge Pick Up) a guitarist can turn this instrument into a all pro quality with the ability to play live shows night in, night out and keep rocking for you. I'm very pleased with the way my ML X purchase turned out. May your purchases be just as great for you!

5.0 out of 5 stars DEAN- 00Z ZERO TRUST- DAVE MUSTAINE SIGNATURE -GUITAR...Amazing!, 18 May 2016
My DEAN - 00Z ZERO TRUST - GUITAR arrived this past Friday and as I opened the box, stunning is the graphic "IN DETH WE TRUST" done in U.S.A. Currency style, starring Mr. Vic Rattlehead ! This graphic is much more rich and defined in person than the online photos.
The guitar is a total player, mahogany body with a set thru mahogany neck. The neck is fluid and fast, a pure shredder. The Grover mini-Rotomatic Tuners are awesome in keeping all the strings in tune with a fully adjusted Tune-O-Matic String Thru Body bridge. The DMT Design stock neck and bridge pick ups are hot in a classic PAF tone style that you would fine in Gibson Explorer/Les Paul. I find the tone perfect but some will be looking for a hotter high gain pick up if your searching for a more metallic tone. As far as head to head comparison with Gibson Explorer vs Dean - Zero, the Zero can do everything that Explorer can do but takes the lead when it comes to overall sustain. The Zero will hang notes forever due to the string thru body design. The Zero is also value for money, with its retail price being a few 100's lower than the Gibson/Epiphone models. This Dean - Dave Mustaine Signature guitar rocks and is worth all the money spent to purchase it!

5.0 out of 5 stars DEAN- DIME: BLACK n BLUE HELL BOLT ML- GUITAR, KICKS!!!, 30 April 2016
If you can find this model, with the silver/blue lightening bolts, BUY IT!! I bought mine in 2015 from Amazon Canada. Having been told that I was a "High Priority" customer for purchasing several guitars from Amazon, I must say, all my dealings with Amazon Customer Service have been excellent! Each Amazon Associate has gone the extra distance for me. This was the case when I ordered this guitar model, staff searched the warehouses, an amazing discovery of a brand new DEAN factory sealed, double boxed 2007 production year model within Amazon stock! A 2007 DEAN- DIME SIGNATURE BLACK BOLT ML- GUITAR was crafted from Indonesia. You can tell care was taken during the build. A quality build stands out on all levels once you hold the instrument in your hands. The mahogany body rings out sustain that is both warm in tone and powerful in sound spectrum reverberation. Although the Canadian Maplewood neck is a bolt on, it's joined in such away as not to impair the player from reaching the highest notes while shredding out fast and fluid solos along the smooth rosewood fingerboard. The action was set perfectly, low to the frets, adjustments are easy with Tune-O-Matic String Thru Body Bridge. This guitar roars to life when sound is produced by the DMT DIMEBUCKER BLADE bridge pick up & the DMT Humbucker Neck pick up, these pick ups sound great and have excellent tone and crunch to spare. Pinching harmonics with ease, this guitar produces those signature squeals with delight! Finishing off with Grover 16 to 1 ratio Tuners, holding tune isn't a issue even after making huge note bends while treating the guitar to a rough n rocking workout. Even though I own other guitars, a few in the $1000 to $1500 price range, this DEAN - DIME guitar has become a go to instrument for me. It's that good!

Asia - Live In Moscow [DVD] [2003]
Asia - Live In Moscow [DVD] [2003]
Dvd ~ Asia
Price: £5.40

5.0 out of 5 stars ASIA - circa 1990 delivers the goods during this live concert., 9 Sept. 2014
ASIA Live In 1989/90 = Geoff Downes- Keyboards, Carl Palmer- Drums, Patrick Thrall- Guitars, John Wetton- Vocals & Bass

Having purchased ASIA - Fantasia: Live In Tokyo- DVD I was stunned to hear how thin of a guitar sound is played by Steve Howe. In many songs he only plays single notes letting the keyboards fill out a songs sound.
This problem is nowhere to be found on ASIA- Live In Moscow 1990- DVD, where for me the MVP award goes to Pat Thrall. If there are backing chords in the original studio versions then they are found here in the live guitar mix performed so very well by Pat Thrall. Thrall solo's with emotion and style, keeping previous ASIA studio guitarists(Steve Howe, Mandy Meyer, Steve Lukather) key notes and signatures while adding his own style and flair. ASIA - Live In Moscow 1990 was filmed and recorded over 2 shows in front of over 40,000 rabid rock fans in Olympic Stadium. This release is issued on CD/DVD, both formats sound excellent with the DVD getting a digital audio/visual remastering. Giving the concert a great look for something shot many years ago. This ASIA release is a must for hard rock fans.

4.0 out of 5 stars The last of the Queen Magic era concerts., 10 Nov. 2012
I was excited when hearing the news that Queen - Live In Budapest would get the full a/v treatment from Queen Productions & Eagle Vision, afterall, i found the work on the other Queen visual projects to be excellent! For the most part the same high standards are continued on this disc for what they had left to work with. This show was edited in a major way by the orginal director in order to make it fit onto the 90min vhs format tape. These edits of the show are long lost to history. No finds in the vault of original camera negatives in order to restore this concert completly. I find myself not enjoying the single verse edit versions of Tie Your Mother Down & Crazy Little Thing Called Love or the missing keyboard intro to I Want To Break Free. Also we don't get any between song banter and Impromptu is cut along with Another One Bites The Dust. What was left to restore looks and sounds excellent! So im happy to have any quality footage of the band from the Freddie era. So all in all this disc is still a must for the Queen fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent! 2 disc, 2 complete QUEEN concerts!, 10 Nov. 2012
As a North American fan of Queen, i didn't know about this 25th Anniversary Edition until almost 10 months after its U.K.& South East Asia release. As i looked thru Amazon to replace my overused 2003 copy, i began to see reviews for the 2011 release so i was more than happy to get out the credit card for the chance to own 2 complete Queen concerts! There just isn't much complete footage of Queen in the marketplace, unlike the ease of filming concerts today with the tech ability directors now have on hand, it was a big task to capture a rock concert in the 70's & 80's. The Friday show has the band playing a little loose in a good way, i love the between song banter of the boys on stage, its great to see the smiles on their faces, along with the crowd they are also having the time of their lives. This 2 disc, 2 complete concerts of Queen - Live At Wembley Stadium 25th Anniversary Edition is the must have coda of concerts for Queen & music fans alike.
