Wow! These are really good. I bought one for the front door to check it out and the very same day I ordered two more - for my conservatory and for the garage / utility room. It's a solid piece of hardware and it looks really secure. It's not cheap, that's true, but it can potentially save you a lot of trouble.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great little device!, 26 Feb. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've been looking for such a little clever device for about two years time. Until Satechi came up with this their 'Media Button', the only option was to get a similar device from the US (delivery cost was ridiculous). Yes, I know there were bluetooth remote controls - I even have two or three of those, but this device is a huge step forward.

This little gadget does exactly what I needed it to do. You can play, pause, skip your music tracks, you can put the volume up and down. It's small (about the size of £2 coin (well, maybe 10% bigger) and very, very light - it virtually weights nothing.

The only downside I can see is the quality of the plastic used. The buttons work, but they feel cheap and kinda 'squeak' when you press them. But apart from that, the device is really cool.

Highly recommended.

I use Clique Dock system for about 2 years now. It's the first solution that really works (I tried quite a few before). It's just a piece of plastic, but a quality one and well designed too. Well worth the price.

It works great, it keeps my Apple wireless keyboard and the Magic Trackpad together as they were one device. No issues with it so far, so highly recommended.

I'm using Magic Mouse for around 5 years now. The first one I bought (5 years ago) has just passed away - it stopped tracking on most of the surfaces. It happens, it's just a piece of electronics. Things break from time to time ;) It's not a bad result, especially that I've been using it every single day, 10+ hours a day.

I thought I could use a classic mouse instead. Nope... I couldn't. Magic Mouse is brilliant - I get used to it so much, I couldn't stand even one day using an ordinary mouse. Yes, it's true - you have to get used to it. But once you do - you'll never look back.

2.0 out of 5 stars It's pointless - save yourself time and money, 16 Nov. 2014
I'm very disappointed. I was looking for a pen without that bulky thick head for a long time. I always thought tablet would be great for making notes. Unfortunately it's not the case at all.

The pen itself is ok - it's well made and has the right weight. But that's all good I can say about it. Making notes simply doesn't work. The precision is horrible and depends on how you hold your iPad - in portrait or landscape orientation. I found it working better in landscape orientation for some reason - the precision is better. In portrait orientation the precision depends on the tilt of the pen during writing. The more the tilt, the further away the ink point gets from the actual pen position. You can only get fine precision if you hold the pen perpendicular to the tablet - but who writes like that?

It's quite ok if you want to draw a horizontal or vertical line, but forget about writing. The results are simply horrible and my 6 years old daughter's writing looks much better in comparison.

Want to draw a straight diagonal line? Forget it! All you get is a beautiful sinusoid.

Save yourself time and money - it simply doesn't work. It lacks precision and it lacks accuracy. It's not good for drawing, not good for sketching and especially not good for writing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended, few drawbacks., 1 Aug. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The camcorder and the quality of the video it produces are amazing. I think it's one of the best devices in the prosumer area right now. No doubt. Much better from the much more expensive Canon G30 (at least in my opinion).

If you want to make some serious use of this camcorder, be prepared to buy some accessories. A 16:9 lens hood is a good start. A guy called Mark Spooner explains all that in a brilliant video he made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U12a-hhtjTY

The camcorder is perfect for a home video - it's lightweight, its automatic modes are very accurate and it produces an outstanding video quality. If you're a hobbyist or a professional, there are some drawbacks in the camcorder's design and software in my opinion.

Here's what I like and what I dislike:

Pros:
- really good video quality
- deals great with high contrasts (however, has a tendency to over-exposure highlighted parts of the exposition)
- automatic modes work surprisingly well
- the I.O.S. (the stabilisation) works like magic. I could manage to record in full optical zoom (12x), holding the camcorder in hand and it looked like I was shooting from a tripod
- lightweight and small
- behaves well in low-light conditions

Cons:
- if you're about to shoot in a manual mode, there's a 'function' button next to the ring. It's nice idea, as it allows you to switch between the manual mode options, but when you have the display opened and tilted, it's quite hard to reach that small button - it's too close to the display
- there are some software drawbacks as well. E.g. if you're in a manual mode and you set up the shutter speed manually or aperture value, and you want to switch it back to the auto mode, you have to press the 'iA' button, which brings EVERYTHING back to the auto mode, including the white balance. That's very inconvenient.

Overall - well worth the price and highly recommended.

Hama Table-Top Tripod with Removable Telescopic Tube
Hama Table-Top Tripod with Removable Telescopic Tube

4.0 out of 5 stars The tripod is really good. Nothing to complaint about, 1 Aug. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought it to be used with my (pretty light-weight) Panasonic X920 camcorder. The tripod is really good. Nothing to complaint about. The telescopic extension itself is also pretty good, but the ball tilt head it's equipped with is awful. It can't hold the position even if you tight the screw really hard. It just keeps moving, it couldn't hold in place even a very light weight equipment, so I just replaced it with some more decent one. Overall - a good piece of equipment for the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm glad I couldn't cancel the order, 1 Aug. 2014
When I realised how big that battery was, I wanted to cancel my order. It was to late for that, so the battery eventually arrived. I'm glad I couldn't cancel the order. It's huge, but the size is not a problem. It's not too heavy either. It fits my Panasonic X920 perfectly fine and, what's more important, it allows me to record for solid 5 hours. Highly recommended.

Tascam DR-07MKII Digital Voice Recorder
Tascam DR-07MKII Digital Voice Recorder

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!, 1 Aug. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've had the DR-40 before and now I decided to go for DR-07MKII as it is lighter and still has exactly the same microphones and all the same quality as much heavier DR-40. I don't need 4 tracks nor ability to connect 2 additional microphones, so DR-07MKII seemed to be a perfect choice. And it was. The quality of sound is outstanding. I'm using it as an external mic for my Panasonic X920 camcorder and the sound quality is incredible. It works as an external mic and records the sound at the same time, so every time I switch the camera off, the sound is still being recorded. I can put it all together in the post processing and I have a nice continuity of sound. I know it's not a replacement of a good quality shotgun mic, but it really does the job. Highly recommended.
