Not the best ..., 17 Dec. 2003
This was a good book definately, a good end. But a good end to an amazing series doesn't add up. The storyline was too sad, I mean poor Hunter, why should he have to go through that when it was Morgan who should have suffered more. He was stuck on an island for 16 years while Morgan got to watch their daughter growing up. OK sure she missed Hunter, a lot, and didn't know Moira was Hunter's daughter but still, who got the better deal? Moira's chapters were kindve boring once you read them once and Cate Tiernan's knowledge of Ireland was scarce (why does Moira keep going to the TOWN of Cobh when the CITY of Cork is like a mile away from it, Youghal is not 'just outside' Cobh and Wicklow town is not just beside Cobh either). Plus Moira's 15 she should have been in 3rd year in secondary school and 'looking forward' to doing her junior cert ie. studying like mad as my sister was last year. Moira also seems a 'bit' stuck up. As I said it was a good book, but it will let some people who have been waiting for it down, you may even regret reading it.If you don't read it however you will be tormented by wanting to know what happened next.
