5.0 out of 5 stars I love this album!, 4 May 2011
This is a great album, something for everyone and a real showcase. It may seem obvious for a "Best Of" album, but if you only buy one Kathryn Tickell album, this is the one!

4.0 out of 5 stars Cracking Album!, 10 Feb. 2011
This review is from: Dumb Supper (Audio CD)
This is a cracking album! Saw them live and they're better live than on the album, because you can see the effort that goes into their performances. Real emotion in every song. Guaranteed!

The Settlers - Rise of an Empire (PC DVD)

Price: £7.99

4.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best of the Series, 18 Sept. 2010
Rise of An Empire is a great game, and one of the best of the Settlers series. The graphics are great and the interaction is easy and intuitive.

The only down-side is the military aspects, which are simpler then previous Settlers. All soldiers are the same grade, whereas in previous versions you could promote them with gold. You also only have swordman and archers, whereas it would be nice to have one or two others (like spearman, for example...) However, this doesn't affect the gameplay that much.

If you like to concentrate on economy, then this is perfect for you. However, if you like the military aspects of Settlers more, then I wouldn't recommend this.

Another point to note is that it isn't a timeless game. What I mean by that when resources run out, you can't get any more. You can't build foresters, or trade for more iron or stone, like you could in some previous versions of Settlers.

But for around a fiver, you can't go wrong!

PURE Siesta Flow, DAB/FM/Internet Clock Radio
PURE Siesta Flow, DAB/FM/Internet Clock Radio

3.0 out of 5 stars Looks good and works OK, 13 April 2010
This radio looks good and works well enough, but won't pick up the internet signal unless it's very close to the router, unlike other appliances (laptop etc...) that can pick up the signal across the house.

The buttons on top are good, but the touch-screen buttons on the front are really fiddly and it's frustrating to use them (you have to use them to set the alarm, change stations etc...)

Sound quality is good for something this size, and the screen is easily visible at night. I've had some with a blue LCD display which are too bright and the time isn't visible unless you're at exactly the right angle, whereas this display overcomes that problem.
