Mortal Coil (Skulduggery Pleasant - Book 5)
Mortal Coil (Skulduggery Pleasant - Book 5)
by Derek Landy
Edition: Paperback
Price: £7.99

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a children's book!?, 13 Aug. 2014
This book.
It is the goriest, scariest, most emotional, most brilliant Skulduggery Pleasant book yet.
However, I'm seventeen years old and I found the gore pretty darn gory. I actually had to put the book down.
It was twist after twist, the dialogue was witty and hilarious (as usual), the fights were written really, really well (again, as usual), and then the ending was both spectacular and completely heart-breaking.

I very, very highly recommend this series.
Skulduggery Pleasant starts off aimed for a younger audience, but like Harry Potter, it matures and becomes darker as the story continues and the characters age, and it's much more enjoyable for older readers, like me. This cannot be stressed enough.
This brilliant book isn't for the faint-hearted.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disgusting, 18 Feb. 2013
Breeding dogs purely for cosmetic reasons is appalling - this book is a guide to the dog's extinction! Many standards in this horrific book will cause extreme health issues with your dog. I am disgusted that the other reviews are five stars!

3.0 out of 5 stars Does the job, 7 Nov. 2012
This piano may not be the best; it's touch sensitivity can go strange, the buttons can be frustrating, and the keys make loud noises when pushed down and shake when released with a snapping back action. Apart from all this, I's pretty much perfect.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not very good..., 30 Jan. 2012
I was a massive fan of the crash games when I was little - I had every game. Up until this one came out. Crash has lost his touch. This game is like every other - with basic moves like punch and kick. Each level is basically the same. It gets very boring after a while. Crash Bandicoot has lost everything that made him unique - his signiture move to spin, collecting wumpa fruit to gain lives, not that mojo rubbish. The new designs of the masks are utterly terrible. There is only one good thing I have to say: at least the developers of this crash game still kept crash's special happy dance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best game of my childhood!, 30 Jan. 2012
I ordered this game to bring back memories, and oh boy it has. For a playstation one game, the quality is amazing! The levels are so fun and have lots of detail. I never thought this game could ever be improved but then the third game came out. Both are utterly brilliant! The only flaw is that you can't to any boss level again once you've defeated them. This game is much better than the first one, the graphics have been improved, and you can save whenever you like.
