5.0 out of 5 stars Matt Monro Special Reserve Book/package, 7 Oct. 2010
I purchased the special reserve edition of this book which at first glance seems expensive however you also get a special discography book which lists all of Matts known television and radio appearances and detailed anaylisis of all the albums. It has some never before seen photographs and is the definitive reference work for Matt Monro. Also included is a CD unique to this set of rare recordings not available elsewhere. The two books and CD fit inside a special flip case which is well made and the set is a real quality item, and an absolute must for any popular music lover as well as die hard Matt Monro fans.

The book itself is written by Michele Monro Matts daughter and is written in the sense of a third party. This immediately sets this aside from other books and is written totally impartially. Nothing is left out or glossed over and personal letters are disclosed here for the first time which must have been hard for the author to include. Again which is unusual for a book like this photographs are included throughout the book as the text refers to them, rather than just having a big clump of them in the middle. There are also lots of quotes by friends and fellow stars which all add to the enjoyment of the story. I found this book very difficult to put down, and cannot recommend it highly enough. Yes it is a work of love but is an honest and definitive read. Highly Recommended.

Yes it is a work of love with input from Mickie Monro Matts widow who sadly passed away earlier this year, but the author has done a great job bringing this all together and I believe it has been a work in progress for a number of years. Anyone interested in popular music will love this book as well as a must have item for die hard Matt Monro fans.
Highly recommended.

1.0 out of 5 stars Titanic WideScreen, 25 Oct. 2009
The picture Raise the Tianic is a good film in my view, however this release by Network is appalling. The film is presented in 2:35 letterbox this makes huge black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. The film was shown a year or so ago on BBC and the print was excellent, also surely there must be a print with a Dolby Stereo surround soundtrack.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning, 28 Jun. 2009
Was dubious at first after reading some negative reviews however glad I bought this Television. Fast set up stunning picture very pleased my only quibble is that changoing channels with remote is a little bit slow but not a worry. Definately recommend.
