5.0 out of 5 stars Old Fashioned Glass Bottle filled with chilled filtered water... high standard restaurant feel, 9 Sept. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is one of the smartest improvements in my household - swapping plastic bottled water into tasty and freshly filtered water from Brita. Its more environmentally friendly ( no plastic waste) and its real money saver. I used to buy at least 2 x 8 pack of 2l still water in plastic bottles a week and now i have fresh water anytime i need with no need of going to the shop. Recently i have found old-fashioned glass bottles in local charity shop and having this filled with chilled Britta filtered water, not only it looks amazing and very elegant at the dinner table but it tastes better chilled from glass than plastic bottle. Highly recommended purchase with extra filter cartridges that should last 9 months. Not bad, isnt it?

5.0 out of 5 stars Shaman and poet! Atavistic pleasure to listen, 3 Sept. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: An American Prayer (Audio CD)
Shaman, poet, charismatic performer...all in one. American prayer is one of my favourite pieces created by Jim. Full of magic and new perception of world. World seen with eyes of Lizard King. Pure poetry that will linger in your mind and flow in your blood. Every time i listened to American prayer I felt like going into trans that led me to different levels of darkness, deepness, wilderness. Atavistic and prime. Still so intense... Lizard King welcomes all of us to experience the taste and flavors of shadows that are inside each of us... Enjoy Feast Of Friends!

5.0 out of 5 stars movie shot in over 18 days... Fair play!, 1 Sept. 2014
For a movie that was shot on small budget, on digital camera, over 18 days - it is just very impressing. Its charming, moving and very refreshing romantic comedy. I can watch it over and over again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Value for Money!, 1 April 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Its third book I purchased from the series ''Twenty To Make'' and i think those books are real great value for money. They are cheap and cheerful and still there are 20 projects to choose from. I watched couple of YouTube tutorials on patchworks using Jelly Roll Scraps and I wanted to back it up with some affordable book for practicing the newly learned YouTube skills. I havent found every project worth of trying but half of them are quiet cool... and i have already made one small bag, wahey! My sewing skills are still not great so it is good way of practicing before jumping into bigger projects, like quilts and blankets.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT MOTHER'S DAY GIFT!, 26 Mar. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Perfect gift for every mom who followed this popular BBC series - The Great British Sewing Bee. She will be delighted with this book, and ... its not everything - There is pack of 5 full size pattern sheets included with it... she can sew her own summer garments, very easily, as each pattern piece is nicely printed and ready to be used on the fabric, so the only thing she needs is nice fabric to start filling own wardrobe with new handmade outfits!

2.0 out of 5 stars ''Excess'' volume for sure!, 6 Mar. 2014
I like to have two mascaras in my reach - light one with brush to nicely even and separate the lashes and the other one to apply the actual liquid and add the volume to my lashes. I thought, by buying one mascara with two different brushes would be great idea - well, it would be if not the fact that this one ends on the good idea and nothing else. Its just awefuly uncomfortable to use it. The brushes are fine, very solid and good shape but terribly close to the container making the product chunky and big and impossible to apply ideally with out making mess. I tried to follow the instructions from Max Factor website and applied the mascara and intensifying lacquer the way it was advised and... i ended up having black smudges on my nose and cheeks. ''Excess'' is a good name for this mascara as i really got more mascara then i expected to get ...but in wrong places :-( Definitely dramatic, definitely excess volume, definitely extreme impact! Oh, yeah

Viva Poncho: Twenty Ponchos and Capelets to Knit
Viva Poncho: Twenty Ponchos and Capelets to Knit
Price: £11.51

4.0 out of 5 stars An acquired taste ?, 6 Feb. 2014
I love wearing and making ponchos and caplets. They are specific type of garment and they can be great finish for the whole outfit or practical clothing for cold evenings. I have knitted few ponchos myself and made few from fabrics as well (used school girl skirt for one of them! ha). This book is not the collection of the best ponchos i have seen, it shows some old-fashion patterns and many i wouldnt wear. But it can be purely an acquired taste, can it? I love the poncho with anchor pattern and one summer light one, which im going to tackle. The caplets shown there are complete not my cupa tea... but again, its probably my taste. Someone else might like them.
The price is not too bad and there are still few good patterns there, so all together 4 stars is fair, i think.

4.0 out of 5 stars Purchased for Inspiration, 17 Jan. 2014

This review is from: Lace, Ribbons and Bows (Paperback)
this book is definitely an inspiration for anyone who is interested how to use the lace and ribbons for handcrafted projects. There are no huge numbers of ideas presented in this book but it is nor about quantity but quality in this case. Nice vintage crafts, beautiful decorations for interiors, feast for eyes and soul. Im a big fan of mixing twine and lace ribbons together especially while making hand crafted wedding decorations/cards and i have found few ideas in this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars For All Pleats Lovers!, 3 Jan. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I saw this book in TkMax one day and really liked it...i didnt buy it that time as it was very heavy and decided to order it online via Amazon. I received the book before Xmas and it is no shame to say - it was real treat for eyes and for creative soul.
The book is beautifully edited and presents the story of the revolutionary line of clothing designed by famous Issey Miyake. I love pleats garments and for me to learn about new methods of pleating that allow both beauty and flexibility of movement for the wearer as well as gives insight into production process, was something amazing.
Issey Miyake's Pleats Please collections are innovative in its process: the clothes are first cut and sewn together from fabric that is almost 3 times larger than the finished item of clothing (!!!), then sandwiched between sheets of paper and hand fed into a pleats machine...that is impressing!
If you are pleats lover, you will enjoy beautiful pictures of collection and..if you not shy with sewing machine, who knows, this book can easily inspire you for creating your own pleats items! Worked for me ;-)
