Having had the paper copy for many years I was a bit apprehensive about switching to this digital version, as similar format books have been a bit of a problem over the years.
I gave the trial subscription a go and was pleasantly surprised as there have been no problems with the format at all.
The pictures are all clear at all levels of zoom and the text can still be read when zoomed out quite a way (this is on a Kindle Fire 7") which helps when trying to read a photo caption and look at the photo at the same time.
As a bonus an annual subscription gives a massive saving over what I was paying before.

As another reviewer has already pointed out some people seem to think that the publisher would give away their product for nothing, as long as you realise that you are getting a 'store front' to enable you to buy issues of the magazine rather than access to the magazine itself you should not be disappointed.

This is a useful little gadget, but I think it has been designed with the idea that once it is put on it should be left, as after a few goes of screwing it on and off different valves the rubber 'O' ring seal inside disintegrated. For me this isn't a real problem as I just wrapped all the valves on my ineer tubes and my son's with ptfe tape and this provides as good a seal as the original.

Having used this for a while now in all weathers, I feel that it was a very good buy. It has never stopped functioning and gives me all the information that I need. Although it has several functions the screen I tend to use the most is the one shown with speed and cadence as on the way home after a longish ride I tend to ease off and seeing the cadence dropping gives me the kick up the backside that i need to keep the effort up.

A great way to own a collection of Canalettos without having to be a multimillionaire. I first came across this artist when my grandad took me to a gallery about 40 years ago and have loved his pictures ever since.

Anyone who likes the Sharpe books should like this. A similar character who's friends with his Sergeant and has improbable adventures away from the field army.

An interesting analysis of a conflict usually ignored in northern Europe as it is believed to have had no impact on our history.

HM Armed Forces Armoured InfantrymanThe new replacements for the good old actionman are great. My 5yr old son had already got the standard infantryman but wanted this one because it had the same uniform daddy wore in the old photos. He has been playing with it from the moment it arrived and was over the moon with the whole set including the Javelin missile system he had seen at the Windsor Tattoo a few days before.
The only slight fault with these toys is that the feet/boot combination does tend to work a bit loose after a while, easily fixed with a spot of super glue though so it's not that much of a disaster.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning Artwork, 12 Oct 2008
This massive tome is a visual delight. The huge format brings to life the artwork and I cannot wait to get my hands on the first volume. The cover price is 50 and even at that I would have been sorely tempted to buy.
Having said all that, as someone has already pointed out it is lacking in any form of technical details, but if you want that buy something like the anatomy of the ship series.
What text there is gives a reasonable overview of international naval events in this period, but it is really just extended captions for the pictures.
As a summary it is a useful addition to any library, but only if you are either not interested in technical details or already have them covered by other volumes.
