5.0 out of 5 stars Excellently crafted, 21 July 2013

A well woven tapestry of a book that embodies the best of Star Trek: morality, technology exploration and the human condition. Well paced and with excellent character development, this fits its story effortlessly into the TNG canon. If there was ever to be another TNG series Bennett should be a scriptwriter. Truly one of the best Star Trek books I've read.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Read - Impressive Career, 4 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A superb collection of experiences and stories - very well told. I have settled on the fact that the reality of flying today is not what it was, and so have chosen another career path. Having books like this to read give me the opportunity to look back on the better years of flying. The pace is great, and there's a perfect balance between technical detail, humour and the character of the author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't put it down..., 15 Mar. 2013

Writing my first review, as this is one of the most endearing books I've read. It's as though I have spent many evenings sat listening to an old friend tell me stories of high times. Gutted that it ended. I am left inspired and entertained. Awestruck and also embarrassed from having been unable to restrain myself from smirking and in instance laughing out loud, while surrounded by dour faced people on the Tube. Thanks

5.0 out of 5 stars A Film That Will Mark Your Life, 20 Oct. 2004
Rarely do films such as this come along.
Perfectly measured emotion, evocative and heart-wrenching, this masterpiece delivers one of the finest cinematograpic experiences I've ever had. Annie's selfless devotion to her daughter is met with ambivalent disreguard from her daughter in aspiring to be freed from her mixed heritage. Carrying brilliantly the weighty issues of racial discrimination and unrequisited love, this film is an unsung masterpiece. If you aren't seriously marked by this film then you really must be hewn from a block of granite.
Mandatory viewing for anyone with any slight of emotion - a painful but compulsive lesson in life
