4.0 out of 5 stars Warm, fashionable coat, 7 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This coat is my daughter's current favourite item of clothing. It has already lost one of the toggles, & the cover of a snap fastener, which were a bit flimsy, but for warmth & appearance it is a good item at the price.

Brabantia Retro Pedal Bin, 30 Litre, Almond
Brabantia Retro Pedal Bin, 30 Litre, Almond

5.0 out of 5 stars Such a good buy, 7 Jun 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Initially I was reluctant to spend so much on a bin, however I am very glad I did. In our refitted kitchen, it works very well with cream Shaker units. It looks neat and funky. It is easy to clean, & to change the bags, with no unsightly bits of bin bag showing round the edges. It closes with a bit of a clunk, which I like, but might not suit all.

5.0 out of 5 stars A taste of tradition, 14 Aug 2003
This review is from: The Country Kitchen (Paperback)
Remember farmhouse teas in childhood, with ham or cheese salad,home-made bread, jam, biscuits, cakes, and families gathering to eat together? This is an image conjured up for me by this lovely book, which gives recipes for all these things, and much, much more. How to make your own cheese, butter, sausages, pickles ; how to make a smoker from an old biscuit tin, to smoke fish or meat; how to cure meat, make your own corned beef.........and so much more. This book is for lovers of good, healthy, traditional food, made properly, without additives. The book is well organised, recipes are well written & easy to follow, and Jocasta provides a wealth of fascinating information, anecdote & chatter, so it is a joy to read, as well as a practical guide. I use it and read it over and over again. It is one of my classics.
