5.0 out of 5 stars EXTREMELY ENJOYABLE, 4 May 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Having watched Mary Poppins several times over the years on TV and dvd, I can now enjoy this movie with a new fresh perspective.
Saving Mr Banks is a frustrating journey of clash of wills and character, but at the same time is a story of mutual respect and even
some grudging affection that the 2 lead characters have for one another. I loved the flashback sequences to Travers childhood and the relationship with her parents, her father in particular. Tom Hanks portrayal of Walt Disney is flawless in every way. Emma Thomson is utterly outstanding as Miss Travers. I loved also the portrayal of the musical genius that is the Sherman Brothers, who's
body of work for the Disney organisation remains unsurpassed to this day. Having purchased the dual pack containing both Mary Poppins and Saving Mr Banks, I can truly say...the best blu ray purchase I have made so far this year.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but should have been full length version, 21 Nov 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
As an avid fan of all things Galactica, I have given this a 3 star rating for the following reasons.
Picture quality is overall very good when you consider the origins of this title {ie] this was not intended for cinema release to begin with, hence the 1970's tv look re this print. There is some scences that are grainy and others that are a delight. My main concern is the length of the feature, which I would have prefered to have been the 180 min tv pilot version..who know we will probably see it turn up in the coming years as an another anniversary editon

Game Of Death [DVD]
Game Of Death [DVD]
Dvd ~ Bruce Lee
Price: £6.10

3.0 out of 5 stars Only my opinion, 11 Oct 2013
This review is from: Game Of Death [DVD] (DVD)
There have been many views and opinion over the last 35 years about Game Of Death, whilst I understand and in many ways agree with past reviews regarding the missed opportunity in not going ahead with Bruce's original version of this movie or as close to it as possible. I do think that there are some good point within this production {ie} the motorcycle fight scenes along with the fight scene in the baddies garden. I do like the opening and closing titles montage as well as John Barry's music score. Game Of Death was for many years heavily cut by the BBFC and as a result of this the movie was understandably panned by critics and fans alike. Since this movie has been released uncut {Originally by Hong Kong Legends} It has always been good to see the Nunchakus scenes put back in place. My only real concern for all of the Bruce Lee movies {except Enter The Dragon} is that we here in the UK still do not have a Blu Ray release of his movie at this time. I have sent E.One entertainment several emails to request info on this matter but have not as yet received any replies. It looks as as if I will be forced to purchase the Bruce Lee Legacy box set from the USA.
Just in case anyone is interested, it would be best if you waited for the newer version of the box set to be released as the first release was a catalogue of errors. I have recived confirmation from SHOUT FACTORY that the new versions {release date late October 2013} are new HD masters. Any way E.One Entertainment the ball is in your court, it could not be more simple..Just for once give us the buying public what we short Blu Ray releases {new masters please} and plenty of extras. AS THEY SAY IF YOUR MAKE IT AVAILABLE THEY WILL BY IT.

1.0 out of 5 stars wasted opportunity again, 21 July 2013
This review is from: Bruce Lee Collection [DVD] (DVD)
Although it is good to see a new UK box set of Bruce Lee movies, I must ask a simple question....WHERE THE HELL IS THE BLU RAY BOX SET OF THESE MOVIES. After all I can purchase them form Amazon
Germany, Japan, The USA, France and many more, but no once again the UK market has been shafted re these titles. I have emailed E.ONE Entertainment on several occasions regarding any info but have not received any reply. With all respect who releases any new box set on DVD anyway considering that Shout Factory have an excellent box set due for release this August in the USA. The reason I have not included a review of each movie is simple if you are a fan you probably know every frame by now. PS All of the title have an incorrect screen ratio re the disc info {should read as 2.40.1}
So how about it E.ONE Entertainment is this yet another missed opportunity or did you like Warner Brothers just not give a damn about us long term fans or the products that you provide.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just Beautiful, 2 Aug 2012
The first time that I viewed this title was last October when I returned from the States with African Cats, Thank god for Disney Nature, they have brought back to the table all of the reasons that I used to watch the wonderful world of Disney true life adventures of many years ago. Please do remember the the afore mentioned DTLA was in many way the forerunner to most of the national geographic, and discovery networks programmes that we now enjoy. African Cats more than super seeds any of them. The story is a joy to be part of, the high Def cinema photography is stunning in it's detail. In short if this type of Movie is your thing you would be utterly mad not to purchase this title. PS Keep a look out for another Disney Nature release with chimpanzee this is also out of this world

3.0 out of 5 stars Could do better, 31 Mar 2011
Having now viewed all of the contents of this box set, I can honestly say that apart from Aliens this is the best presentation of this franchise to date..As for the quality of ALIENS I have to say that as cameraman I was extremely disappointed with the final print, which was over exposed at several point throughout the feature as well as far to grainy in places. The rest of the box set was outstanding in every respect.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lee the best dragon ever, 28 May 2004
When viewed against many of the action movies of today this title {ENTER THE DRAGON} takes you back to a time when the Leading man {Bruce Lee} had to rely totaly on the skills that he had perfected in order to deliver what is now considered by the cinema viewing public as the best martial arts movies of all time. The fight coreography is absolutly second to none, no fancy wire work for this artist, no computer visual effects to enhance this legends performance, in short a visual feast of the orient and all of it's splendors in a style rarely seen in today's rip of martial arts movie genre's. It is probably true to say that films like The Matrix, Kill Bill and many other owe much more than we think to the geius that is Bruce Lee in Enter The Dragon. If proof were needed just take a look at the grace and power of any of the fight scenes in this classic coupled with a decent story line in the almost James Bond like over tones. This movie is a must for any one who is a fan of this genre of film, and to add to your delight the extra's include the documentary A Warriors Journey which is worth having if only for all the unseen footage of Gamr Of Death. So treat yourself to the Magic that is Bruce Lee in ENTER THE DRAGON

5.0 out of 5 stars Star Wars Rebel Assault 2 Review, 23 May 2004
This Star Wars game sees the Rebel Alliance continuing their fight against the Galactic Empire.
The game starts of with two B-Wing Starfighters patroling an area controlled by the Empire.Little do they know that the Empire is hatching a plan that could defeat the Rebels. That plan is to use a cloaking device to hide all Emperial ships including their new class of TIE-Fighters.If this works the Rebel Alliance will truly be doomed.
This game may be old ,but it is still a classic for Star Wars gamers.Play in 14 missions in space,on the ground and even in Darth Vader's personal Star Destroyer,The Executor.Like I said this is a classic Star Wars game and is still very enjoyable to play
