3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing for the money, 9 Jan 2009
This review is from: Bang & Olufsen (Electronics)
Having always been a great admirer of Bang and Olufsen equipment I received a pair of B&O A8's for Christmas. They are excellently built, have a real feel of quality about them, and are very comfortable to wear (unless you are wearing glasses). Unfortunately they are somewhat lacking in the sound department. They are certainly clear and crisp, but the bass is virtually absent and there is poor separation between layers. I already own a pair of Dennon in ear earphones which i paid £70 for. These are far superior, although they are slightly more expensive. Also, the Sienheiser in ear earphones i owned previously sounded much better and were only £30. If you don't feel comfortable with in ear earphones, or like to look flashy then these are the earphones for you. Audiophiles steer clear.

5.0 out of 5 stars Magnificent! Ahead of its time., 17 Jan 2008
This review is from: McCartney II (Audio CD)
After a chance encounter with Temporary Secretary on the radio 1 i thought it was a new release! I was shocked to find this record recorded by Macca and being almost 30 years old.

Judging this album in its own right, it is fantastic. There is the pioneering electronica and sheer madness of Temporary Secretary, Secret Friend and Check My Machine, mellow blues on On the Way, Coming Up is a fun and upbeat number, whilst Waterfalls, One of these Days and Summers Day Song are decent ballads, Beatles-esqe if you like! Darkroom wouldnt seem too out of place on a Gorillaz album, the sheer variety on McCartney II means it probably has something to please everyone. If you are expecting to hear the Beatles, Wings or similar you'll want to ignore 80% of this album, but if you want 14 quality songs with about 5 different genres thrown in, this album is for you. If you've never bought a McCartney solo album before i definitely recommend this! Truly outstanding.

2.0 out of 5 stars HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE, 28 April 2007
I bought a zen vision about 8 months ago and was pretty pleased with it. HOWEVER! it then broke, the screen was completely garbled, thus rendering the player useless. I returned the product to creative which is where the nightmare started. Their emails sent me the wrong information and i was told i would have to wait an extra 6 weeks for it to be fixed. 2 months later i was still emailing them with no reply. Finally i recieved an email and was told that they wouldn't fix the player because it had a scratch on it! This scratch was on the rear of the player and wasnt very big. I argued with them at length to no avail. I asked for my mp3 player back so i could return it to amazon, 4 months after that i am STILL waiting! I can no longer gaurentee a return from amazon as it is past 6 months of purchase. I will never buy another creative product after this experience.

If you buy one of these players don't expect to have it fixed if it breaks.

Don't expect them to reply to your emails.

Do expect them to offer to fix your player for a large fee when they should be fixing it under the warrenty.
