5.0 out of 5 stars METEORS still have an edge, 3 Dec. 2012

This review is from: Doing the Lord's Work (Audio CD)
First off this is the best release from THE METEORS in a long time.

However I have mixed feelings on the sound quality.

The entire recording is either in mono (or almost mono) and it's rather harsh sounding.
So it kind of reminds me of spinning some old 45's.
The plus to this is it sounds more punk-like but if you have a high end system listening through headphones one can't help but imagine how much better it could sound with a little panning.
I gotta admit that I hate mono whereas others my not.
Maybe this CD will change my mind.

Right now I think a great companion to this CD would be a live version from a DTLW tour.

Bottom line is there's very few bands that can put out such a great album after so many years
I think it fits along some of the best METEORS records and proves to the newbies who's king of Psychobilly.

This album is a CLASSIC.

Worth the money for Wagon Train alone.

5.0 out of 5 stars BETTER THAN EVER, 6 Jun. 2006

This dvd is a must have for any punk/Damned fan. I have only one complaint... WHERE'S PLAN 9 CHANNEL 7 ?? Did i miss it? You also could have put on the videos that were made for Plan 9 & Smash it up, (i guess that's two complaints... anyway, if you don't like The Damned you can always use this dvd as a strobe light.
