4.0 out of 5 stars Great case will help keep your iPhone 6 scratch free!, 20 Sept. 2014
Nice lightweight and relatively inexpensive case with a soft texture to help protect the phone. The fit could be slightly more snug but apart from that this case is decent. Does a good job of protecting the phone without adding too much additional weight or bulk. Also, there's a slight, one millimetre, lip to the top edge of the case to help protect the screen. Another quality offering from Spigen.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the most compelling films I've ever seen, 8 Jan. 2014
From start to finish I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. I was totally transfixed by what I saw. Brutal and surreal at the same time, The Act of Killing recounts the genocide which took place in Indonesia in 1965 where, by some accounts, over a million ethnic Chinese and alleged communists were brutally massacred after a failed coup. The, now old, perpetrators reenact the murders with remorseless glee and are lauded as heroes on national TV. There's a particularly bizarre scene where these mass-murderers are interviewed, to applause and reverie, on Indonesia's equivalent of The One Show. Frightening stuff. Incredulous really. The film was screened at the Berlin Film Festival and afterwards someone said it was like watching the Nazis reenact The Holocaust. The director Joshua Oppenheimer said this comparison was wrong because, unlike the Nazis, the perpetrators of the 1965 mass genocide did not lose the war and are still in power. More frightening than any horror or thriller because this isn't fiction. This is reality.

4.0 out of 5 stars good quality jumper, 21 Dec. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Good quality thick jumper.

I find that the length is fine in terms of the body but the arms are a little short. And I don't have long arms!

Apart from that, it's great value for a pure wool jumper.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Camera, 3 Jan. 2013
I like the build quality. Feels nice in the hand. Nice and premium all metal body. I prefer the feel of this to the G3. Picture quality is fantastic and low-light images are particularly good. The touch screen and/or button controlled interface makes the camera very easy to use. I like the iA mode for simple point and shoot. Normally I have the camera in aperture priority mode so I get nice depth of field. The 14-42mm kit manual kit lens is decent enough but I'll get myself the fast 20 mm 'pancake lens' to improve portability and picture quality even further.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor quality, 23 Dec. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
It looked ok at first but then you see its made from really nasty and cheap poor quality plastic (rough edges) and it's nigh on impossible to remove once it's on. In fact, once you do remove it, the black rubber doesn't return to its original shape - so it's left looking a little loose and flaccid. If you're after an attractive, thin and sturdy case it's worth checking out the SwitchEasy Tones instead.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fast and stylish, 23 Dec. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Beautifully designed and compact. Expensive - because you can get a TB of storage for a similar price from other brands - but of course you're paying for the design. Looks really nice on my desk next to my Asus n56 laptop. USB 3.0 is fast!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent!, 23 Dec. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Slim and with a snug fit, this case offers decent protection for your phone without adding too much unnecessary bulk. The case itself is made of a good quality plastic and I like the two-tone design. All the phone's buttons work well through the case. None of the ports are blocked. Not sure why one of the reviewers is complaining about not being able to hear his alarm or notifications properly. I've had no problems at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Value For Money, 2 Jan. 2012
Bought this recently for just £369 from Amazon. Performance from the i3 2330m dual-core processor is swift. Decent 4GB memory. Good 500GB HD. All the Microsoft applications open in just a second or two. The screen is bright and clear with decent viewing angles. The keyboard is excellent, well spaced - isolated and curved - keys make for fast touch-typing. The numeric pad is good for work with excel. I like the power supply which is the smallest (and lightest) I've seen for a laptop. So, carrying the laptop around in your bag with the power supply isn't a pain. My only very minor gripe is that the laptop, while well designed and quite good looking, is a little plasticky and one or two of the edges are a little on the sharp side (but what should anyone expect for such a cheap laptop?). So, for not much more than a netbook you get a very good notebook/laptop with a very good specification (not an AMD E350/E450 or an Atom).

As an aside, I had a netbook (Intel Atom processor) for a short while (2 days) and couldn't stand it! The boot up times and the times it took to open an application were woeful and extremely frustrating. I think it makes far better sense to get a low-cost laptop with a decent processor!

4.0 out of 5 stars Ace Combat 6 - Yes, an actual review of the game!, 24 Dec. 2007
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Superb!

Controls can be set to ARCADE or SIMULATION depending on your preferences (though ultimately Ace Combat 6 is an ARCADE GAME and not a FLIGHT SIMULATOR - sorry to disappoint the propeller heads out there but there are dozens of flight sims out there if you want realism). Four difficulty levels ranging from ROOKIE to ACE. Downloadable content. A huge variety of planes (F16, A10, F14, F15, F117A, Tornado, etc) and payloads (multiple homing missles, fuel-air bombs, cluster bombs, bunker busters, etc). Varied missions - from ground support for a beach landing to defence of your city and everything in between. The ability to order your wingman to cover your tail or attack a target. The ability to order all available combat units to cover your tail or attack a target (particularly spectacular when you see this all-out attack). Nice (though sometimes silly) cut-scenes which add to the atmosphere of the game. Multiple mission paths with multiple mission objectives. A fully interactive battlefield - the battle unfolds beneath and around you as other units attack one another. Varied online play modes. Some hidden extras for really good players. Ability to view an action replay of favourite missions from multiple camera angles (visually stunning). Yes, the graphics are truly amazing and if you've enjoyed Ace Combat on the PS2 then wait till you see it in action of the 360. Clouds, vapour trails, detail, explosions..... The level of detail is astounding! Combine the graphics with the sound effects (jet turbines, radio chatter, explosions, etc) and you'll be totally immersed for days! Downsides? On the normal setting, Ace Combat 6's fourteen missions can be completed in less than a week of solid playing. Still, there are still the online modes to enjoy and the missions can be replayed on the harder settings (where one missle hit is enough to down your fighter).

Thumbs up! A great game and the best version of Ace Combat to date.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good features hampered by thin and bright sound, 2 Oct. 2007
This is my third iPod and in terms of features - nice screen, good storage capacity, nice extras, build quality - it has improved. But what has happened to the sound? Previous generation iPods had warm sound with good detail and a good sense of 'space'. This new iPod seems to add some graininess and brightness to the music - so eventually it can sound fatiguing/tiring. Bass seems a little distorted too. Ok. So perhaps I should change the headphones... Well, via the supplied earbuds, to Etymotics, to Sennheisers, the distortion is still there. I do not have a faulty iPod. Check out the online reviews and the discussions on various iPod related forums where there is plenty of negative feedback regarding the poor, distorted, sound quality.

In fact, Apple have changed the chip which provides the sound processing. It is believed this is the reason why the new iPod Classic's 'sound signature' has changed. Can this be fixed with a firmware update? Because, right now, inspite of the new features and seemingly improved build, the iPod Classic doesn't sound 'right'.
