YYYs done good, 16 April 2006
I always felt that the Yeah Yeah Yeahs had alot more going on than the limiting 'Punk' tag they had and this record proves it.They may have the Art rock stance of some New York bands circa 1976 but there's alot more going on here. Some tracks still resemble the Yeah Yeah Yeahs of old but on the whole this is a more spacious record and no band in this musical area comes up with the goods (apart from Scotlands fantastic - Isa & The Filthy Tongues)as much as the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Karen O is still a bonafide star amongst stars and Nick Zinner could have been a 'Bad Seed' no problem. Brilliant Band Brilliant LP and I'm sure there's even better to come.
