Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This first series probably had a lower budget than the later series, which adds to its charm as it is more intimate and realistic. You feel like you are in the room with them. Robin Ellis is a good old fashioned hero, with an admirable social conscious. Also the scenery is superb showing Cornwall in a great light.

5.0 out of 5 stars Practical, succinct and funny!, 12 Sep 2008
This is by far the best guide to office writing that I've seen. Full of easily-explained practical advice (with useful exercises to make sure you've understood it). The author takes a modern and non-prescriptive view on grammar and completely demolishes many of the old myths (can't start a sentence with 'and' and 'but'; can't put a comma before 'and'; can't split an infinitive and many others). Every office and organisation that cares about clear, human, effective writing should have a copy (or several).
