Relentlessly Brilliant, 9 July 2008
Beautifully, intelligently and tenderly written. Compelling and fascinating.
It really is a book about love, with all its horrible realisms, agonies, anguish and pain. Hot cakes and wine, medieval Italian power struggles, unrequited love, terrifying characters, seduction and lust - it's got the lot! And it's all completely and utterly believable. This book should wins prizes!
