5.0 out of 5 stars a great buy, 28 May 2015

Excellent sound quality. These headphones have transformed my gameplay. It's quite amazing the sounds that can be heard that quite frankly just don't register on a TV connected sound system. Rich quality and depth. Well worth purchasing

1.0 out of 5 stars This was a full waste of an evening, 22 Feb. 2015
This review is from: The Virginian [DVD] (DVD)
1 star is a bit of an overated score but I'm feeling generous. This was a full waste of an evening. The Virginian character is poorly developed and the acting is at times woeful. The whole dvd is just soulless and insipid. If it wasn't for the fact that Trampass was in it you would think it had no connection to the old series of the 60's and 70's. To give an idea of how bad, Trampass was the bad guy...although only young when the tv series was on I don't recall that. Avoid

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable addition to the Assassins Creed stable, 15 Nov. 2014
Its Assassins Creed. Does what is says on the tin... well steelbook in my case as I bought the Bastille edition. This comes luxuriously packaged with a leatherbound art book, postcards, cd of the soundtrack and most importantly, 2 extra missions. As for the game; not encountered any of the problems that others have reported so guessing the update that you have to install fixed that. Time will tell as I play it more. Visually its stunning. Playwise its like other AC games, but there again thats what I expected. Impressed so far overall.

Update: Been playing this solidly for a week now and have to say I am loving it. Plenty of upgrading to be done, which is essential as the story develops. Love all the differing missions and the various other elements. Play wise it handles like any other Assassins Creed but why wouldn't it? Can't see why it has been singled out for criticism to be honest when most other popular franchises are just as guilty.
Framerate doesn't seem to suffer from what I can see but perhaps I have just been lucky, it certainly takes advantage of the PS4 with outstanding graphics. As I said earlier I had not come across any bugs or glitches myself and this still holds true now that I'm well into the game. There was a big update this week which was supposed to fix the errors some people were reporting too. The only real criticism is one that can be levelled at all Assassins Creed games and that is the control when running/jumping. Occasionally you are trying to run past an object but instead he climbs or gets stuck half way up a wall. This does need to be looked at and fixed by the developer after so many years. Doesn't detract from my enjoyment though.

4.0 out of 5 stars Thoroughly enjoyable switch off and enjoy movie. Loads of action, 18 Oct. 2014
Thoroughly enjoyable switch off and enjoy movie. Loads of action. A darker tone to the storyline too. I don't understand all the criticism aimed toards this movie. Yes the action is unrelenting at times and certainly the human characters are shallow but lets face it they are only in the movie because otherwise it would just be a CGI animation movie. Mark Wahlberg doesn't annoy thankfully and this movie is far better than than the last two in my opinion. I can understand some criticism that theres another battle in a city but staying on earth limits the action somewhat and this will be integral to the storyline of the next two movies. While the Dinobots only make a limited appearance in this film it paves the way for a more integral outing next time. No Shia Le Beouf can't be a bad thing thing either with his over the top screaming. If you are a Transformers fan then you should enjoy. If you are a fan of black and white French films with subtitles then I'd look elsewhere.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor customer service and an own goal from the developer, 17 Oct. 2014
This review is from: Driveclub (PS4) (Video Game)
Atrocious launch meant million or so players could not get online to play what is effectively an online racing game that has a limited offline ability. Poor customer service and an own goal from the developer. This game was supposed to have launched last year with the PS4 launch but got delayed by 12 months. On release it was still not ready!!
That aside the single player offline mode offers nothing more than an arcade like experience and offers little in the way of racing for serious racers. Not much in the way of tuning and little sense of realism. If you want a simple game with glorious graphics that you can just put in the console and play then once all the gremlins are sorted out it might at best qualify as a passable game but there are others just as good in this genre. Personally I'd suggest waiting a week or two and give The Crew a look when it gets released (this may be no better of course) or the forthcoming Project Cars which does offer (allegedly) realistic racing and looks set to be the definitive racer on the PS4 for a while.

3.0 out of 5 stars frusrating..., 3 Oct. 2012
This review is from: F1 2012 (Xbox 360) (Video Game)
Not as much fun as a game of this type should be. If like me you just want to get in the car and race then look elsewhere for racing fun. In career mode you really have to fiddle around to get a setting that suits each track. That's just not fun for me. The slightest mistake and you spin, lay the power too soon and you spin, brake and you spin, don't brake and you spin. I am sure it's fantastic if you want a simulator, but I don't; I want a fun filled game based on the F1 world. As for the weather, not sure who did the programming but every race so far has had pouring rain in it....Australia, Kuala Lumpur, Bahrain and Barcelona. I mean Bahrain!! It's a dry desert for heavens sake. Sorry but very unimpressed and annoyed to the point it may not get played again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cannot fault the product or the seller, 3 Oct. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I ordered this case for my new Nexus 7 and waited for delivery....and waited. Sadly it had not arrived by the last expected day. I contacted the seller, HMF Technologies who replied the same day. They said they would look into it and replace the order (without a quibble). However, later that day up strolled the nonchalant postie with the order. I contacted the seller to let them know and got the nicest reply late that evening.

A great customer service from this seller and one I would recommend. I blame myself for not choosing a better delivery method. Delivery by Royal mail is absolutely shocking-for a small parcel to travel 200 odd miles in this day and age and take 10 days is unbelievable.
Moral of this story is never use Royal mail if you want something fairly quickly.

Product is great quality and does justice to the Nexus 7 and the stylus means no more greasey screens.

5.0 out of 5 stars The excellent Nexus 7, 20 Sept. 2012
The 16GB 7" tablet exceeds my expectations and is simply brilliant.

However, everywhere I have seen it for sale seems to be charging the recommended Google price of £199 for this model and £149 for the 8 GB version.
I wonder why Amazon are showing the price as £100 more than it actually is?
Couldn't be because Amazon have just released their Kindle Fire could it....trying to get more sales perhaps? Deter customers from buying the competition.
Hmmm Trading Standards might be interested in that. Of course it could just be an error with someone typing in the wrong amount!
I expect better from Amazon and find these sort of tactics very disappointing.
