5.0 out of 5 stars Very stylish, 15 Dec. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
These are very comfortable boots that look great with jeans or leggings. The suede seems of good quality and the boot is well constructed. The name 'midnight blue' seems to suggest a blue that is almost black but these are lighter than that - the colour shown here is a good match [at least on my screen!]. There was very slight rubbing on the back of my heels the first time I wore them but after that I had no problem. The sole and heel are ridged for good grip.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic boot, 6 Dec. 2014
Not sure why the previous reviewer gave only 2 stars - these are well made boots that look great especially with jeans. They are not as chunky as the similar Marta Griffin design; these are more a spring or autumn shoe. I normally wear a size 6 in Clarks shoes but found a 5.5 a better fit in this model

Very comfortable right from the first wearing

5.0 out of 5 stars PERSUADE YOUR HEAD OF DEPARTMENT THIS IS A MUST, 22 Sept. 2014
Not sure why the previous reviews are so negative. This, and the companion volume for biology are great. The fact that they are not syllabus specific is also one of the strengths since that means everything is covered. Use 'Foxit' to open pdf files and then editing is easier or just copy and paste to Word Paint to add/delete details - simples!!!

The Code Book: The Secret History of Codes and Code-breaking
The Code Book: The Secret History of Codes and Code-breaking

Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended, 1 Aug. 2014

Mention codes and code-breaking to most people and they will think of Bletchley Park during WW2 and the breaking of the Enigma codes. This book gives you fascinating detail on that period but so much more. The history of codes turns out to be the pivotal strategy in so many historical events and the ingenuity of the human mind is shown to be limitless. Tracing the use of codes from hundreds of years ago to the days of the computer and how encoding is embedded in our lives today.
Very readable for anyone - don't be put off if you think this will be full of difficult concepts

5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating story, 1 Aug. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Fascinating story told in a great style. Simon Singh is brilliant story teller and this reads like a thriller with rivalries, treachery, hopes and dreams over hundreds of years. Don't worry if maths is a closed book to you - this will still be an intriguing read

Durable Mouse Pad Gel - Anthracite Grey
Durable Mouse Pad Gel - Anthracite Grey
Price: £9.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Look no further!, 1 Aug. 2014
This is a great pad - very comfortable and a good scroll area. It arrived well packed in a rigid plastic cover and no funny smell that other reviewers mention. The fabric is soft, the gel is firm but comfortable and the pad is well made. As mentioned by others this is suitable for left or right handed users. The base is shiny and stays in place on surfaces. Very good product and excellent value for money.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money, 1 Aug. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Don't waste your money on this pad. It is well made but poorly designed. The area for the mouse to move over is very small but worse than this is the wrist support area. It has a dip in the middle and, since the filling is quite firm, you have two ridges causing two pressure points on the wrist. I have tried putting the heel of my hand into the dip which improves comfort quite a bit but it is awkward to work like that.
Also if you put a cup of coffee on the pad [and who doesn't use their pad for that sometimes!!] it leaves a permanent indentation in the surface.
I have replaced this with the Durable Mouse Pad Gel - Anthracite Grey which is a far superior product.
Very disappointing pad from such a well known company

5.0 out of 5 stars Super toy, 28 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this for my 2-year old granddaughter and it was an instant hit. She squealed with delight when she first saw it and immediately started popping out the shapes - giggling as each one went. There is just enough friction to keep the shapes in place but not too much that little fingers can't push them in and out. The foam is good quality and the shapes are all cut precisely - constant use doesn't cause the holes to loose their shape. Great for teaching colours, shapes and numbers and developing eye to hand co-ordination. The only down side is when you are searching under the sofa for that last diamond shape! Excellent value for money and a great toy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect little mouse, 28 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This mouse is perfect - light and with just the right level of responsiveness. The last mouse of this model I had lasted over 8 years [with daily use for several hours] before the forward scroll began to slip a bit. The battery life is also excellent, even if you forget to turn it off. Some reviews say this is too small or too light, but since these figures are given in the technical information they are a bit silly! Should have read that before buying. If you have large hands then this may not be the model for you. The little receiver sits in one of your USB sockets and can be left there permanently as it only sticks out a few millimetres. There are several lovely designs for this model and is good value for money.

This review is from: Doctor Who: Doctionary (Hardcover)
My niece had this as a Christmas present and tells me she is constantly dipping in to it for facts and figures on her beloved Dr Who. Well illustrated and with references to all the adventures - not just the recent ones
