It's a bin that opens by itself. It seems to use very little power too, so the batteries will last a few months at least (mine have been going well for 3 months so far with heavy usage).

I like my hot chocolate to disguise the fact that it is in a lot of milk. Unfortunately this stuff just makes the milk taste vaguely chemical flavoured.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's a great monitor: The build quality is amazing, 27 Sept. 2014

Mine arrived, finally, from Amazon.

It's a great monitor: The build quality is amazing, the screen is almost flush with the tiny bezel so it feels like you just have the panel in front of you. The power light is barely visible so won't annoy you, kudos to Asus for not whacking a huge blue LED on the front to tell you your monitor is on. While the image quality is probably the best I've seen from a TN, it's still some way below a good IPS so don't expect miracles.

But the benefit of TN vastly outweighs the slight loss in image quality from IPS. The response time of the monitor is amazing and the lack of tearing and reduction in motion blur (without even using ULMB mode) makes it so much easier to identify targets in games like Counterstrike and Battlefield 4 (when it works).

One downside is just how bright the screen is. Even with the brightness set very low it does still feel a little too bright and washed out. It's managable and pretty typical of TN panels. Using your GFX card's control panel to reduce the brightness helps.

Films look good on it too, once you have the monitor set up the way you like it.

These bulbs throw out a great amount of light and are a refreshing change from the awful colours in normal energy saving bulbs, but of the 4 I bought 1 died in a month and another after 5 months so I dont think they are very reliable.

3.0 out of 5 stars DOA rate is quite high, 5 Jan. 2013

Bought two of these, both arrived well packaged in their own little boxes with trays. Unfortunately one arrived completely dead. My NAS doesn't recognise the drive and my two desktops try but fail. Searching around the web, it seems like this is quite a common thing with these drives. WD do offer a good RMA process though and they will ship a new drive to you before you send the dead one to them, provided you furnish them with a valid credit card number.

The drive that is working is fine, with good speeds and very low noise and power usage.

Microsoft Sidewinder X6 Keyboard

2.0 out of 5 stars Go for the X4 instead, 17 Oct. 2011
While the build quality of the X6 is great, as is the feel, it has some major flaws that a "gaming" keyboard should never have.

-Ghosting. You cannot crouch+move+reload at the same time. Ctrl+WASD+R = No worky. One of your actions will be ignored.
-The volume adjuster is laggy. Increase the volume and it can take 60 seconds to actually increase it. So if you turn the dial too much, you can end up deafening yourself (or conversely end up not hearing something important)

There are other key combinations that dont work, but the one highlighted is the most obvious and commonly encountered one. For a supposed gaming keyboard to not support multiple keypresses is pretty reprehensible.

Dont waste your money on a brand name, get a cheaper HDMI cable instead. You wont notice the difference in picture quality (there isnt any thanks to the signals being all digital anyway) but you'll certainly notice the cost difference.
