The idea was good...., 11 April 2013
Having read the first and second books I would say the idea behid it was good but it was let down by poor spelling, grammar, transposition of homonyns and the like. A little proof reading would have helped immensely. The odd mistake is easy to overlook but when you have to guess what the author actually meant to write it detracts from the plot immensely.
The other let down is the dialogue, or lack thereof. Interactions between characters are often summarised with the brief interludes where characters vocalise feels more like a set of statements that is blindly accepted rather than a fluid conversation. That being said, fluidity does not seem to come into either novel, it's more a set of rather disjointed scenes with no true transition.
Based on the summary it could have been an interesting series, however the overall feel of the writing and quite possibly the author's own spell check seem to have let it down immensely.
