3.0 out of 5 stars Good Lamp, U.S. Charger, No Dimmer Dial, 1 Sept. 2014
Very bright and compact but there is no dimmer dial and more importantly it came with a U.S. battery charger. I use it as an emergency light that I keep in the very bottom of my camera bag.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent all round and a good size for a lot of jobs, 1 Sept. 2014
I film live events and concerts and have bought a lot of portable lamps of various sizes and makes and this one is perhaps my favourite. Decent build quality, filters, and most importantly a dimmer dial (this is essential never buy a lamp without one). I have larger lamps and have found they are often too bright (hot) and lead to overexposure. It can take a massive Sony battery that will last for hours (though adds a lot of weight) and comes with an adapter that allows it to take AA batteries. For small tripods I use:

Delivery was good and comes with what it said it did. Excellent product, Highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great device but may do more than you need it to, 1 Sept. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Zoom H4n (Electronics)
A great device that works excellently with nice little features like the screw thread for tripod mounts. Nice basic plastic case that keeps it safe and sound quality is excellent. However, I also own the Zoom H1 which is an amazing product at a much cheaper price. I would argue that the H1 and the H4N deliver equally excellent sound quality however, the Zoom H4N offers way more features and ports. But you might not need these features. So do your research before purchasing. I own both devices and use both of them on different types of jobs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rubbish for playing games on but for literally everything else it is perfect, 1 Sept. 2014

Rubbish for playing games on but for literally everything else it is perfect. Using it for e-books, surfing the web, watching movies it is perfect for all these and really responsive. Sound quality is decent through built-in speakers but excellent through earphones. Playing basic games like Sudoku's ect work great but you have zero chance of running Plants Vs Zombies without constant crashing. Camera is nothing special but appreciate that they built one in. Can't recommend this highly enough.

3.0 out of 5 stars Has its flaws but high hopes for future seasons., 1 Sept. 2014

This review is from: Justified - Season 1 [DVD] (DVD)
Flawed and uneven but lots of potential for future seasons and looking forward to season 2. It has pacing issues and some recurring characters are setup then completely dropped for no reason. Walton Goggins as the main antagonist is fantastic and really wonderful and reason enough to watch the show. Fans of Deadwood will enjoy the cast from that show turning up regularly in interesting roles. Well shot, well acted and a decent score its a shame the plot wasn't stronger.

4.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining but too afraid to break from its formula, 5 Sept. 2013
This review is from: House - Season 1 [DVD] (DVD)
This is a much watch show and it is very entertaining. It has a very simple but effective formula which is making a hospital drama through police procedural techniques. So we have the maverick doctor never playing by the rules and getting into trouble by his grumpy boss. We have red herrings about what the illness is, interrogating patients to find out how they really got infected ect. It is a formula that has been clearly thought out and creates a very entertaining show. It's filmed to a really high standard with excellent camera work, decent music, great performances and pretty decent writing throughout.
However, there is something that stops it being a masterpiece, which they will hopefully solve in future seasons, and it is that it is almost unbearibly formulaic. Every single episode follows the exact same structure and nearly always comes down to that the patient lied. This means that the very best episode of the Season is the second last because it is not only a well written episode but because it finally breaks from the formulaic structure. In all the other episodes there are no real surprises because you always know where it is heading and roughly how each scene is going to end.
Another problem is that although it is called House we actually follow a team of four doctors every single week. However, these other three doctors have really weak characters and it is only down to the good performances by these actors that you stay engaged because their characters are one dimensional and have such little growth. One of the main problems is that if it wasn't for House every single patient in the hospital would be dead. None of the other three doctors ever discover the cure for the patient and it is clear that House would get on fine without them unlike a character like Sherlock who would always solve the case but it would take a lot longer for him to do it without Watson, these other three characters don't affect House enough to be that important.
In conclusion this is a high quality program but will never be a groundbreaking show if it is always too afraid to break from its own rigid formula. Hope the later seasons are more bold.

2.0 out of 5 stars Should have been a lot better, 5 Sept. 2013
= Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars
First off, this game like most RPGs is very addictive and very hard to put down. This is a mixed game with some aspects working quite well but there is a lot that lets it down. Set in a very Pirates of The Carribean-esque world of swashbucklers, carribean ports, evil curses, voodoo tribes in jungles, sea monsters (including a Kraken) and of course great big ships. Within a few minutes of playing you will think this is a 2006-2008 game with graphics and gameplay not quite as good as the first DragonAge. However, this game was released in 2012! You would think the studio would be ashamed to release a game that looks 6 years behind the current trend. But it is not just the look sadly. Gameplay is so glitchy and buggy, camera angles in cutscenes are often rubbish and it freezes pretty regularly.
Now all RPGs are principally characters and story driven and this is a problem also. Our protagonist is out to kill the evil MARA and has to hunt down various relics in order to do it. First big problem is that MARA has done nothing evil to the protagonist. She's upset his bosses and killed a relative of a friend but the protagonist actually has no relationship and no real motivation with the villain. The protagonist is not personally invested in this epic quest so why should the gamer be?
Other problems include no naval combat or gameplay whatsoever, traveling by boat is just choosing a destination followed by a cutscene. The final boss is a joke how easy it is and although it is quite hard at the start you can figure out the best layout and upgrades that make the game pretty simple from then on. Your decisions have very little affect beside one companion choice and none of the characters have any real arcs.
It isn't all bad news, the music is good on the rare occassions when it kicks in and the dialogue though often filthy is quite entertaining. Some of the characters you meet are quite fun, you can possess people with voodoo and you can play as a monkey and sneak into windows. Skills can be upgraded at a decent pace and if you change your outfit it will be changed in the cutscenes. It is very addictive and the combat though too simple is quite fun. The biggest problem in my opinion is that it requires an investment of a lot of your time but the gameplay and story when it is all over isn't nearly as rewarding as a Mass Effect or DragonAge. Honestly, although it has some redeeming features I would advise avoiding this game as you can spend the time on other RPGs and have a much more rewarding experience.

3.0 out of 5 stars A very strong opening but loses its pace, 12 July 2013
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
The opening is very strong and sets your hopes up and the first half of the game delivers within the narrow corridors illuminated by flickering lights or the narrow beam of your flashlight. The scares make you jump and some of the action moments are thrilling. However, the story setup at the start doesn't really go anywhere other than round in circles and some of the action sequences are simply too much such as walking around in near indestructible Mech suits mowing down hundreds of minions that doesn't really fit in the game. Some of the locations are excellent and it has excellent moments but it doesn't leave the impression the first game left.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as bad as its reputation, 12 July 2013
= Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars
This got some really harsh reviews but I have played a lot worse games than this. I liked the game play and the feel of the guns. The dialogue was rubbish and cheap but that gave it some B-Movie fun. Many of the levels are quite repetitive but some of them were good fun. It's unoriginal and has many bugs and glitches though never crashed the game. Rent it or pick it up cheap as you will likely only play it through once.

Very happy with these, they are lightweight, sturdy , easy to clean and a comfortable fit. Worth noting is that they are a good size for male adults.
