As a fan of the superb radio series I expected to find the audiobook no less hilarious but sadly this is not the case. Narrating an audiobook is not a matter of simply reading out loud, it requires considerable acting ability, professional timing and a compelling delivery. While the author, Mark Evans, is undoubtedly the master of comic composition, he is not a gifted narrator, with the result that his own material falls flat. Don't be misled by the cover depiction of the spaceship which is from the "The Man From Nowhere" (reckoned by many to be the finest Dare story of all). "Voyage To Venus" is in fact the very first Dan Dare story, originally published in the earliest issues of Eagle.
The Nokia N95 fits this cradle perfectly but cannot be charged in situ, which somewhat defeats the point of using the cradle. The phone's charge socket is on the bottom left, completely hidden by the bottom left support lug of the cradle so you would have to cut this off (easily done with a hacksaw but then doesn't look so good).
