5.0 out of 5 stars Wedding Cakes by Rosalind Miller, 21 Nov 2013
This review is from: Wedding Cakes (Hardcover)
Wedding Cakes by Rosalind Miller is a fantastically inspiring book providing an insight into Rosalind's very creative and innovative mind! I can only hope to think up such stunning cakes myself.
The book takes you though a wide variety of styles of cakes, with clear step-by-step photographs and equipment lists, so you can recreate the cakes yourself with ease. The book also generously supplies recipes, and templates to use for decorating including stencils for the striking and very popular Enchanted Forest cake.
The book teaches many modern techniques, including silver leaf, and even if you are an experienced cake decorator you will definitely learn something new from this beautiful guide!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant!, 15 Sep 2005

This album is marvellous! Charlotte Church has really made a fabulous transition into the pop world! Songs such as Confessional Song, Even God and Moodswings show off Church's voice in the best way possible. She hits every note perfectly, the lyrics are brilliant and the songs as wholes are enjoyable. And it's not as if she's pretending her successful classical career never existed- in Tissues and Issues Church uses classical techniques in her voice which give this album a unique sound and make it stand out.
An amaaaaazing album, I recommend it to everyone!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous, 15 May 2005
This review is from: Call Off the Search (Audio CD)
I bought this album after seeing Katie perform 'Closest Thing to Crazy' at the Royal Variety Performance when she was brand new on the scene.
On the first listen of the album I must say I wasn't instantaneously made into Katie's biggest fan- I thought the album was a bit bland and I didn't listen to it again for a while. However, recently I have been listening to the album a lot, and now I love it! Melua's voice is great and her lyrics are brilliant.
My favourite tracks are 'Crawling up a hill' and 'Belfast', which has a beautiful melody.
If you like easy-listening lazy bluesy music then this is the album for you! Fantastic.
