Holy WOW, tissues are a must with this book, if not actually in tears you are never far away. I was close to blubbering by the end of chapter 1, end of chapter 4 I had already cried!!!
This is totally emotional book, but definitely worth a read. It shows Ava and her struggles after her daughter is born 3 months premature, whist her boyfriend is away serving in Afghanistan. Her best friend Caleb was also out of the country when she gave birth meaning, poor Ava was all alone. She has to sit and watch her 2lb 2oz baby struggle and fight for her life.
Caleb, her friend returns as soon as he knows what’s happened but it takes a few weeks for Sebastian, her boyfriend to return on emergency leave. Unfortunately he can only stay for 2 short weeks before having to return to his unit, leaving Ava in the hands of Caleb.
Through her time in the NICU Ava gets close to her daughter’s doctor, Ashton, they both feel a strong attraction to each other and the pull is unbelievable. Ava fights it as long as she can, but when other family matters come up she turns to Ashton and all her walls crumble. She feels incredibly guilty about Sebastian as they are supposed to be getting married once he leaves the army.
As the relationship becomes stronger, she tells the secrets from her past, which only Caleb knows, Ashton is there to help and support in all the hard times that come their way, and man o man are there a lot.
As I said this is such an emotional story and without giving all the details away I don’t feel that I can do justice to how amazing this was. It definitely took a lot of research is what I can say, you feel that from the offset.

Well this is the first book I have read by Zoe York, I can honestly say I was not disappointed. I won an ARC of this book and I can’t definitely say I will be reading her other books too.
Love in a Small Town was a lovely light hearted read which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Rafe and Olivia have been married, separated and divorce, but they still live close to each other and remain friends.
When Olivia starts to discuss leaving Pine Harbour Rafe realises how much he still loves her and vows to win her back. She says that she is looking to move within the next 3 months. This doesn’t sit well with Rafe and he starts his wooing.
When Olivia accepts a new job in town with a visiting movie who are using the town location, she realises that she is going to be staying in town a little longer than she thought. This makes Rafe happy as he has longer to show her all the reasons they should be together.
Olivia remembers all the reasons they didn’t work out the first time so tries to convince him it’s not the right move for them, even though she still loves him. His career always took precedence over Olivia and she felt more alone as time went on.
Can they work out their issues and reunite or are the hurdles just too high for them?
Read it and find out as there are definitely a lot of ups and downs in this book.
I really can’t wait to see what’s in store for Dani next.

Starting back when Julia Delaney is a child, paving the way to her adulthood, shaping the way she thinks her life should go. It starts with the murder of a girl from her town, then her and her two best friends playing with the Ouija board.
Years later, when Jules has her band and everyone knows her, she can’t stop the dreams from her childhood. Being told by Ouija board that when you are older you are going to be a slut I guess would kind of stick with you.
Through many ups and downs, her band member and ex-boyfriend is always there for Jules, but even he doesn’t know the whole story.
When one night Jules meets a stranger, Brennan, she feels more for him, not even knowing him than she has anyone before.
Brennan is not all he seems either. He has some pretty huge secrets, which Jules finds out pretty much after she has fallen hard for him. Vulnerable, she finds herself back with her ex, Jonny. A couple of years later and Jules still can’t get Brennan out of her mind, and loses it totally when she sees him at one of her concerts.
After a few more knocks, Jules leaves the band and moves away where no one knows her so she can start a fresh. Things however always have a habit of catching up with you when you are least prepared.
This was a great read, you totally feel for Jules all the way through. She is messed up and she knows it. She says she is a slut as that is apparently what she is supposed to be.
Definitely worth a read.

reading to the point I could not put it down. Definitely worth a read…
Kinley, a quiet woman, seemingly invisible to the people around her, lives a life full of abuse. Until one day when someone ‘sees’ her. Danny finds the mousy Kinley running on the treadmill in the hotel gym, when he tries to talk to her she seems scared which put Danny on alert. He sees what she is hiding from everyone. He manages to talk to her alone, without anyone seeing them together. He gives her a get out card (from her marriage). He sees in her what he missed in his sister, which prompts him to help her. He gives her the phone number for his lawyer, offers to pay everything just to see she is safe from harm.
Finally when Kinley overhears her husband on the phone, she realises that she must leave. She finds the strength and courage to call the lawyer and put everything in motion.
After leaving town and hiding away from everyone she knows, she finds an unlikely friend in Lu. She keeps Kinley on her toes constantly.
Finally after Kinley’s husband is arrested and charged with multiple crimes, she finds the courage to set off to meet the man who saved her, Danny. They have spoken regular on the phone but that’s the total of the contact they have had since the day in the gym. She tries to repay his kindness (and money) but he will not hear of it. As circumstances change for both Danny and Kinley, Danny invites Kinley to stay at his home and take care of his young son.
There are many trying times for both Danny and Kinley as single people and as a couple whether it be friends or more. It’s a very emotional book from pretty much the start. It is well written with a few nice twists and turns which you don’t see coming!!! Brilliant.

I was recommended this book by a friend and I am so glad I read it. This book was very well written and you could totally be right there with the characters.
Ali Pierce has always loved the group Rolling Bridges, right from their early days. Going to all their gigs in the local bars and recording clips to upload to the internet. As the group become famous, they recognize her help, live on stage at one of their concerts. They always have tockets for her at ever concert.
When years later she has drastically changed her appearance, she ends up in bed with Dek, lead singer of Rolling Bridges. He doesn’t know who she is, which stings. So she slips out before he wakes.
Only problem is she sees the dripping condom and hopes she isn’t pregnant. Yes, where would the fun in that be?? Yes she is pregnant and decides she is keeping the baby and the fair thing is to give Dek the chance to be in the baby’s life. He is actually quite excited by this and things move quickly between them.
There are obviously going to be bumps in the road along the way, but the biggest is his assistant.
This was a lovely book and I couldn’t put it down. I hope in the future there is a follow on to this, re introducing her lovey (not) parents.

When a job in the governors office means Chloe has to work at his home over the Christmas/new year’s period, she is excited yet knows she is going to miss her family and Hunter.
When she gets there she finds out that one of the men she works with (Xander) is also there to help oversee the party on New Year’s eve (which is why Chloe is there). She has a vision before she meets the family and asks her brother for help. Once the connection between brother and sister is cut he knows he has to tell his family and they need to figure out why this has happened.
Once they figure out that something is definitely wrong they try different spells and things to locate Chloe but nothing works. Finally shape shifter Hunter comes up with a plan. He finds out a lot of information before he hits problems and has to return home without Chloe.
The family work together, realising this is part of the prophesy that was revealed in book 1.
They work together to come up with a solution, whilst also remembering one of her earlier visions, where Hunter dies.
Another brilliant book, I really can’t wait for the 3rd book. This was totally engrossing and I loved it from start to finish.

Normally I’m not a big fan of the Paranormal books, this however I saw recommended by a few people and thought, why not?? It was free so I wasn’t losing anything.
As I turned out, I absolutely loved it. It kept me reading throughout. In fact as soon as I finished it I downloaded book 2..
It is about 22 year old Chloe who lost her parents years before and decided to move in with her aunt instead of staying with her grandparents, brother and sister.
When her granddad becomes ill she flys back home along with her aunt (her mothers twin sister) to be there for her family.
She believes that magic is the reason her parents are dead and has refused to use her magic since. When she moves back home, she finds it much harder to control her visions so decides eventually to embrace them. They show her things that are going to happen and she hopes she can change things along the way.
Whilst waiting for news of her granddad she meets the lovely Hunter, she tries to keep her secrets from him but doesn’t realise hes hiding some major ones himself.
After decades of secrets, lies and misunderstandings can everything be made right??
Maddie and Hunter? Maddie and her sister? The aunt and her ex? The dying grandfather?
A truly amazing read!!

Once again this book made me laugh a lot.
Maddie once again ends up wrapped in a case that she really shouldn’t be looking into. The shoe designer, gets a random message from her long time, estranged father. He asks for her help nut when she hears a gun shot in the back ground she instantly calls Ramirez, who tells her to stay at home.
Maddie being Maddie of cause doesn’t listen and ends up in more than one sticky situation. Ramirez threatens her, A LOT, but she still does what she wants. Which at one point ends up with her in jail. Once she finds her farther, she realises why he hasn’t been in her life, yes he’s a Las Vegas showgirl called Lola.
After a few murders, a lot of Ramirez shouting, too many encounters the lovely reporter who’s been following her and of cause her dealings with the mob, Maddie definitely feels out of her league, does that stop her though??? Hell no!
In this book, I have to say that her best friend was my favourite character. Dana is an amazing character, she’s definitely got spunk!! What with her gun and the lovely tazer, what more could you want.

Shoe designer Maddie Springer’s life take a drastic turns when her boyfriend mysteriously disappears. No word to anyone, just leaves work and nothing…..
Maddie obviously worries about him, trying to find out where he went. Along the way she learns more than one thing about her boyfriend (Richard). Enter hot, sexy, Detective Ramirez. He is trying to find Richard and Maddie’s mission is to find him before Ramirez does. However the more she finds out about Richard the more she realises that she knows nothing about him. She starts to question everything she thought she knew.
Ramirez is investigating multiple murders and embezzlement and at every turn he runs into Maddie.
Maddie’s trying to prove Richards innocence whilst Ramirez thinks he’s guilty.
OMG!!! This book had me in fits of laughter, I loved Maddie’s nervous rants. They literally made me laugh out loud. I am definitely looking forward to the rest of the series and hope they are all as good as this.

This was a really good read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Marcy Foster, MMA fighter is determined to win the state championships, but has certain submission issues. She loves to submit in the bedroom but this causes her problems in the ring.
Can Jax, ex fighter turner psychologist and trainer help with her problem?
Jax and Marcy are instantly attracted to each other and this causes other problems between them. Their training is causing a lot of sexual tension, which everyone notices. Jax is the answer to her prayers in the bedroom as he is the dominant, alpha male she requires. In the ring however she needs to learn to dominate.
It comes to the point where Jax leaves as he can’t work with Marcy anymore as he feels too much for her.
Will it all work out??? Read it and you will not be disappointed.
