5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful gift., 23 Jan 2012
This was described as 'cool!' by the 8 year old London-dweller who received it, and also as his best gift of Christmas 2011. A very good quality product with high-finish picture and information cards. Deinitely a good buy for any child with an interest in what goes on around them. Probably suitable for children 8 - 14, but I'm not an expert! The information was interesting for the adults too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Strange and wonderful, 9 Aug 2004
'I'm a stranger here myself' is another account of Deric Longden's eventful daily life. This time, not only are his cats talking to him, but he also has some fairly deep and meaningful arguments with his Brain. Another book guaranteed to make you choke as you try not to laugh aloud on public transport, on the beach or in the hospital waiting room. This book has been round the family several times, and appeals to all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not lost for words, 9 Aug 2004
This review is from: Lost For Words (Paperback)
Deric Longden puts into wonderful words his relationship with his glorious and eccentric mother. Very, very funny - the laugh out loud kind of book which gets you stared at on trains and beaches - and at the same time poignant and loving. A must for anyone who ever had a mother!!

All Deric Longden's books are a delight, and this one just as much as the others, especially if you're one of those who enjoys a meaningful chat with your pets. Wonderful light reading, guaranteed to cheer dark days!
