5.0 out of 5 stars Differences between this and the compression vest, 4 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I did a glowing review for the compression vest by underworks, currently selling at 30ish. I mentioned in the review that the excess has to go somewhere, and on the vest in my case it tends to be under the arms, which is fine on a loose fitting t-shirt, but on a more fitted t-shirt, is more noticeable. Also, the neckline on the vest is more defined under some clothing. The differences between the two are that the vest is kind of double thickness at the front, creating a sort of fabric harder panel-with a single spandex back which pulls things into place. This compression t shirt is made of all over single thickness stretchy fabric. Really, this t-shirt is just a tight thin stretchy t-shirt, which as others say, perhaps does not give the same level of compression as the vest, but does seem to be less noticeable overall. Obviously the underarm problem is gone, and the v of the shirt is less visible being thinner to start with. Very easy to put on, over the head this time. Worn the same one for four days in sunny conditions all day long, and yes it needs a wash, but I didn't sweat excessively - I certainly didn't need the masking over garments that I'd usually used to wear.
In summary, not as much compression as the vest, but still helps sculpt the body, better overall even compression, easy to put on, less noticeable (not that the vest was too noticeable) and again I've bought a second one.

These must be one of the most unlucky bands as far as personnel are concerned, so comparisons with the old classic stuff are inevitable, but pointless. If you want the classics, get a best of, if you want a new(ish) album of great southern rock, great vocals and musicianship, you can't go wrong. There isn't another freebird here, it's one album of great songs.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great tracklist, but it isn't non stop, 1 Mar 2014
The album cover says 'Over 2.5 hours of non-stop party fun', which is why I bought it. I assumed (wrongly) that non-stop meant non-stop, and that the tracks were mixed together into a continuous track, a bit like the megabass or jive bunny albums of old. No. The album, although having a great party tracklisting is made up of separate tracks. That may suit most people, but when after a non-stop album, that's what I want. So my 3 stars is because of the non-stop element being a complete red herring, not for the music itself

5.0 out of 5 stars A Classic, forget the other review!, 27 Feb 2014
This review is from: Manic Frustration (Audio CD)
At the time of writing, there is another review saying that this album is less doom - more metal. Fair enough, but to give 2 stars is outrageous. There are some magnificent riffs on this album, and the songs themselves are great. Their previous album - Trouble - was more doom laden, but as a standalone album, Manic Frustration is brilliant.

1.0 out of 5 stars This film stinks, and that's bigging it up, 26 Jan 2014
I saw this thing on a movie channel, and on paper the premise was great. This film takes a great premise and transforms it into one of the worst films i've ever seen. The opening scene shows a lad involved with some bad acting older guy, who takes a ride on an old rollercoaster. Honestly, the CGI in this scene was abominable, it was like some early PS1 game. The story is disjointed, presumably to make a dreamlike quality, it was just confusing. The acting was diabolical. An example, you have the typical woman running scared through the woods scene, she finds a house with someone in it, she bangs on the window.......Help!.....she cries, with the fella inside calmly saying come to the door, i can't hear you?! She was screaming and going berserk for goodness sake, it would be impossible not to get that she was in trouble. The plastic crocodile was the last straw. Absolutely awful in every way, and I usually love rubbish films

Being a fan of all sorts of music, I was having a phase on 70's space disco/electronica. This is a great compilation giving me loads of ideas for individual artists to look into. I've already ordered the Droids album after hearing the track on here. Maybe for afficionados this is old hat, but for a newbie like me, it's great. I hope there is another in the series

Gregorian Chant - Elvis Presley
Gregorian Chant - Elvis Presley
Price: 6.49

1.0 out of 5 stars Appalling, 14 Sep 2013
This album is obviously a means of trying to cash in on the popularity of Elvis and gregorian chant, and the combination of the two is dire. The songs are well known and I enjoy other interpretations usually, but this stinks. The gregorian chant is completely unconvincing, not simply because more notes are required to be sung than normal chants, but the voices sound like a poor sixties band who are very bored with a bit of reverb on the voices. This album does no favours to either party. I've spent more time writing this than it merits, just listen to the samples and see how bad it is for yourself.

A great book, jam packed with scientific facts. Evolutionists view these exact same facts and fill in gaps with imaginary fossils and genetic code to come up with the belief that man was once lifeless atoms. No doubt this post will annoy believers in the evolution fairytale. Good. The books is divided into logical segements, which are surprisingly thorough. Absolutely great value, and I reccomend it wholeheartedly.

5 stars for a 90s dance album? OK, it's not what gets classed as a true classic album like those of The Beatles etc, but for the genre it falls into, this is really fun.

I'm having a nostalgia kick at the moment, and am listening to albums from which the big floorfillers were taken. Many of these albums end up being disappointing, with the singles being the best thing on them. This album is different. 'Set You Free' is a dance classic, and the album version has a longer intro, which actually gave me goosebumps by the time the familiar edit version came in. 'Stayin Alive' is probably the weakest song on the album. The remaining tracks have a familiarity to them, even though you probably won't have heard them before, yep a 90s formula familiarity, but that is what I wanted.

If you love 90s dance and haven't heard this album, you are missing a treat!

5.0 out of 5 stars Why do people give negative reviews for the wrong reasons?, 31 May 2013

This is a good album of Tangerine Dream remixes. There is a two disc version, which you may or may not be able to drop on, but whether or not you get it at the right price, this album features more dancey versions of Tangerine Dreams music, which is certainly worth more than the 1 star review given. It's a remix album, so if you prefer original versions of songs then be aware that that is the whole point, these are different, and in a good way in my opinion
