4.0 out of 5 stars Numpad, 22 Jan 2014

Received this morning. Easy to fit and work out. Its a bit like the Mac, at first it feels clunky to use. But I will grow into it I am sure. After many years of Windows I am an early Mac user. Seems to work well,, although its odd not having a button to push.
Delivery was exactly as detailed and the quality of the posh box etc was Apple standard and half the cost I guess :o).
All in all does exactly what it says and I look forward to it doing what it promises. Certainly does not seem to be a waste of money. One thing, the plastic overlay is a bit sticky compared to the lovely smooth feel of the bare track pad. Perhaps that will go in time.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great mid range performer, 27 April 2013
Ronseal ! Does exactly what it says on the tin. I really liked the stylish understated look of the sound bar. No flashy multi speakers. Its a Yamaha and these guys started it off, so it looks like it costs more than it does. Do not bother buying bars for a 100 - 150 quid. Really pay as much as you can possibly afford. This one sounds really good for its cost and size. Nice Bass and clear voices, standard tv sound does not compare.
Really useful feature is the sound bar can learn your tv remote on/off and volume commands. So day to day that's all you need. Switch features with the supplied remote if watching a film etc. It connects with an optical cable so be sure your tv has an input for one. To be honest why need an HDMI for this ? the quality is not such that it needs to decode the various Dolby options. What it does offer is a great sound that looks like it costs more than it did.
The wireless sub woofer works well and its plug and play. Bass is non directional so you can put the woofer anywhere in range. Mine is 4-5m away under a side table and it works perfectly. It is quite a large unit and needs a power socket.
Useful tip, you may find that your wireless internet connection is affected by the unit when on, if so there are 4 channel options on the rear of the woofer just change to another and the unit will automatically adjust. Will save you 3 days of wonder and head scratching like me.
If you buy this system unless you are really picky, I am positive you will not regret it.

I bought this as a comedy present for my wife who started a veg patch in our garden. Tools are rubbish really as you would expect for the price. But it was a fun present and achieved its aim.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super little box, 25 April 2012
Cheap as chips easy solution to a spare room tv, if you have a good quality wireless internet connection this box works a treat. I had it working within 10 minutes and then spent another 30 mins sorting out the channels. Lots of info on the net how to add channels. Got BBC i player and netflix out of the box. Loads of US channels, most useless but some interesting. However ROKU are in negotiation with sky to get sky go and it will not be long before they get free TV as well.
This box does away with the media player to view your photo's and music etc, I have computers for that, it just does tv it has 720p HD which is fine up to 26'' TV.
Any bigger and you will lose a bit of quality, standard leads supplied for older TV's picture quality on this is fine.
Only launched a few months ago in the UK, so I am positive that new channels will come, sign up for the news letter to keep informed. Reccomended.
Just be sure that you have a high speed internet connection to avoid lag when watching programmes. Check out the website for more info.
