4.0 out of 5 stars Works ok for my Berlingo, 8 Dec 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I only need one half of this (the half with the buttons); it needed some cutting with my Swiss army knife, and now it is ok.

5.0 out of 5 stars Like you've been there, in all seasons, 19 May 2013

With this high def doc, it's like you have visited Yellowstone in all seasons with the best guides there are. The short extras (not in hd) about people at Yellowstone, are really worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A masterpiece, 19 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a masterpiece; it uplifts the 'homemovie' to the realms of the universe. Great acting too, but it's the kid actors who shine here.

3.0 out of 5 stars Visually impressive, but story not captivating, 19 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Fall [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
In this movie, the story is a bit lacking, couldn't hold my attention very long. Many of the shots are visually impressive, though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heavenly idiosyncratic!, 19 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I first saw this on national tv in 2D and liked it a lot. After viewing it in 3D, I must admit that other reviewers are right: 3D is an amazing bonus in this case.

Manfrotto 501HDV HDV Video Head

4.0 out of 5 stars great pans, finally, 13 Jun 2012
This video head is great with my Canon 550D dslr, although the camera is dwarfed by the video head! It allows for very fluid pans and tilts and has a very sturdy build.
A couple remarks:
1) This is not a true 'fluid head'; instead it works with lubricated teflon friction plates.
2) There is always resistance, even at its softest setting, so you always need to apply force to move the head.
3) The red release button is plastic.

For its price, this video head will hugely improve your video's image quality (esp. pans and tilts)

5.0 out of 5 stars Valuable supplement to the DVD, 24 Feb 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This book is excellent in physical quality, and the pictures are large and well printed. I bought this book after buying and watching the DVD series with the same title. I thought it would be nice to be able to read about the many photographers in the series, and do more research on them using the internet.
The book has the same structure as the dvd episodes, but it also digresses enough from it to make it worthwhile. Some pictures from the series are missing in the book, and vice versa. This is in fact a good thing. To give one example: in a dvd episode, the American photographer Sally Mann gets lots of attention. In the book, she is mentioned in the text, but not a single photograph of her is in it. This may well be a disappointment to some, but at the same time, there are lots of pictures in the book that are not on the dvd. That way, the book is really an extension to the dvd.
The writing is quite personal and provocative (taking a stand), which gives it a modern feel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent fun!, 4 Jan 2012
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
My 6 and 7 year old sons have played this game together (one using the space bar, the other commanding the arrows) and they love it. Now they are replaying it in turns. They have great fun throwing bottles at thieves and watching them seeing stars in a fun comics style. I run this game on a Q6600 intel cpu with a nvidia gt520 graphics card with all details and 1080p. I really don't understand the criticism posted by some players here if a 6 year old can play through this game in about 6 hours. If you like Tintin, you'll love this game!
