5.0 out of 5 stars Richard Buckner - Bloomed, 25 Jun. 2015

In my opinion, every Richard Buckner record is essential listening. It is also a good idea to buy and listen to them in order of release as 'Bloomed' is an entirely different beast to 'Surrounded'. All of them are works of beauty, get under your skin and stay there. The melodies Buckner uses aren't the obvious ones that most singer/songwriters would go for and as such are much, much more rewarding. You can't just own one Richard Buckner album. You need them all...

Truly awful. The best thing about the film is the cover/poster artwork. People giving this good reviews are reviewing their childhoods and not the movie. It is abysmal.

The Wonder Stuff Diaries '86 - '89
The Wonder Stuff Diaries '86 - '89
by M. Stuart Hunt
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars 'How the book are ya?', 29 Nov. 2014
The first thing you notice when picking up this book is the quality and attention to detail. The cover is embossed and the colours are vivid throughout the book. The second thing is Miles' gift as a natural story teller. Even the mundane everyday things become interesting with Miles' style of prose. The bloke writes cracking songs and it's no surprise he's written an absolute belter of a book. If you listened to The Stuffies 25 years ago or have just discovered them, then this is a must! Recommended!

Caught these boys supporting 'The Delines' in Leeds a few months back and bought this on the strength of that performance. For fans of classic Simon & Garfunkle, The Everly Brothers, Bob Dylan, The Band etc. There's nothing groundbreaking about this album, Just good songs and you can't ask for more than that can you?

Great book. I read this in one sitting. Fans of John Steinbeck, Raymond Carver, Willy Vlautin et al should enjoy this immensely.

If you haven't heard Richard Buckner then you should. If you have and haven't yet bought this album then buy it. Buckner has a knack of melody that isn't obvious but it drills it's way into your head and refuses to leave. Imagine Mark Lanegan and Nick Drake had a love child you might be getting close but it's more than the some of those 2. Highly recommended!

Great continuation of the story. Good, strong characters and as believable situations you're gonna find in a Zombie novel. Thoroughly recommended!

1.0 out of 5 stars Oh dear..., 9 May 2013
I bought this for my kindle as a 'filler' while waiting for the next installment of 'The Remaining'. I got about 2 chapters in and gave up. Very amateurish, childlike writing. Avoid.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's not Shakespeare..., 6 April 2013

but you wouldn't be reading this review if you wanted 'Hamlet' or 'Othello'. This is just a great Zombie novel in the tradition of Romero but updated for the 21st century. The author's clear knowledge of weapons and warfare add a realism to the proceedings. Recommended!

1.0 out of 5 stars Shockingly Bad..., 20 Feb. 2013
I gave up about 20 pages in. The author (and his son) obviously have no real interest in The Stone Roses and are out to make a quick buck. More spelling mistakes and untruths than you can shake a stick at and that's just in the first 20 pages! If you have any love for The Roses then stay well clear. You have been warned!
