4.0 out of 5 stars very fast delivery, neat unit, 4 May 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
very surprised to get it delivered on a Bank Holiday Sunday, but delighted

the unit is neat and does exactly what it says. The only slight quibble is that it is very easy for the battery cover to come off when you are operating the controls. Plenty of space in the case for a spare battery but it is easier to store the USB module in the pocket rather than inside the unit.

I loved it - great to hear mandolins in this type of song - exactly what it says on the tin

1.0 out of 5 stars misleading title, 23 Feb. 2014

This review is from: Scheherazade (MP3 Download)
I was expecting a jazz version of Scheherezade with a mandolin playing - neither is true! no hint of the melody and no mandolins whatsoever - very disappointed.

4.0 out of 5 stars useful summary, 31 Jan. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
useful for someone just starting out - most useful for guitar but enough info to make it worthwhile for mandolin and banjo (has info for both 4 and 5 string banjo, in various tunings)

5.0 out of 5 stars Love the selection, 3 Nov. 2013

good selection of pieces for the budding clarinettist - not so difficult as to be off-putting, but challenging enough to play. Really good progression from Book 1.

4.0 out of 5 stars excellent training tool, 21 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
this looks like it will be a very valuable training tool once I've figured out how to use it properly. So far, only tried it on one run and one bike ride having set it up using the on-line manual. These first uses quickly showed me that I needed a slightly different set up.

Slight niggles - I would like to be able to use different units for different setups when looking at the detailed data on the Garmin connect web-site. The wrist unit is rather large for female users but at least that means the screen data is clearly visible, even without my glasses! The manual is a bit obscure in places but with a bit of experimentation the unit can be set up the way you want.

The Garmin support web-site is pretty useless - many of the links to FAQs do not work and e-mail form for support also doesn't work! However the Garmin Connect web-site for analysing and sharing your data is good
