5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible, 27 Mar 2014
I bought these after dispairing at how fat I seemed to be even though I swam regularly etc. I was also bored of being lethargic, tired and disinterested in stuff and bloated. This has transformed all of that, within a few days I was back to being (fairly) lean, I was more alert, had more energy and seemed to have stopped bloating. I wish I had discovered them years ago. I now take one per day to keep the bacteria in my gut in check and I haven't looked back. My skin is less sensitive and I no longer look washed out and tired. Remarkable product!

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, 17 Mar 2014
Wow. What a shame. This film has been anaesthetised by cgi and is as realistic as a Disney animated film. The production values of Lord of the rings created a gritty realist film that made it believable and compelling, the hobbit is so far away away from this it's tragic. The middle earth vision created for The Lord of the rings has been sold down the river with the hobbit and it's a damn shame. The hobbit played a major part in my childhood and I love it to this day. This travesty of cartoon madness does no justice to the book, the picture in my head, or indeed Tolkien's legacy. What an absolute waste and squandering of a well deserved directorial reputation

3.0 out of 5 stars Not sure, 10 July 2013
This feels a little forced to me. In not sure I believe in the characters and the script, whilst sharp, is a bit too clever for its own good. The writing follows a formula it seems which goes a bit like this; dialogue, dialogue, wisecrack end of exchange cut to next scene. It's not bad tho, it just feels like its trying too hard and moving to fast

5.0 out of 5 stars Soaring production values, 14 May 2013
To think I turned off episode one of series one because I thought it was cheap, stylised rubbish. Being a big fan of hbo's Rome, I thought Spartacus was a poor effort. I went back to it tho and was gripped through all the seasons, superbly written and acted. War of the damned is so far removed from season one as to be a different show entirely. Beautifully shot, believable cgi and epic in production. Pretty damn good.

3.0 out of 5 stars Meandering and tiresome, 14 May 2013
This review is from: On the Road [DVD] (DVD)
I've never read the book but as a stand alone film this isn't great. It's disjointed and strangely devoid of genuine emotion. Half way thru and I still didn't know the names of the leads and what's more I didn't care. ' Into the wild', though not strictly a road movie, provides much better character analysis and emotional involvement. This left me cold and bored, which was a shame as I was looking forward to it. It really seemed like my kind of film

This is a strange film. It has the look and feel of a made for TV movie but there is something about it that hooks you. The ending is truly gut wrenching and not at all what I was expecting, l too sat through the credits staring at the screen. This film is good, granted it would be better without its Tv feel and rather bizarrely it features many of the cast from the The Walking Dead. I loved it, the use of Lisa Gerrard singing The Host of Seraphim is inspired

1.0 out of 5 stars What on earth is this??????????, 12 Jan 2013
This review is from: Lionheart [DVD] (DVD)
I paid five quid for this thinking I was going to watch an epic about Richard the first. What I got was The Lion in Winter, great film but seeing as it is on my shelf I didn't need it again. This DVD is not as it is portrayed to be. It's a remake of the film I have just mentioned, almost word for word in fact

1.0 out of 5 stars So disappointed, 22 Dec 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Shocking. Made for idiots pulp. I was expecting something akin to hbo standard, but this is shocking. Mawkish, over sentimental, ridiculously overblown backing music (which is infuriating) and a script that's excruciating...'that's easy for you to say...you don't have a child out there' I mean for crying out loud. This was clearly made for an American market, not an international one, which is why it is simplistic drivel. The director should hang his head, this is hardly the walking dead, six feet under or indeed Rome. What a wasted opportunity

2.0 out of 5 stars Tedious, 15 July 2012
Poor scene setting makes this a very difficult read. The narrative leaps from person to person without clearly outlining who anyone is, it feels line the author is confusing the reader purposely. For me, good writing is about clarity and clear progression of storyline. Game of thrones is neither, two chapters in and I've given up. I've read other reviews that suggest sticking with it, but I won't. It's clumsy and poorly written, therefore I'm done
