App simply not good enough to justifying paying for it. Until they fix the bugs it should be free of charge

King of the Badgers
King of the Badgers
by Philip Hensher
Edition: Paperback
Price: £6.29

5.0 out of 5 stars Reminiscent of Patrick Gale's brilliant early novels - loved it, 9 Jan 2013

This review is from: King of the Badgers (Paperback)
I loved this book. Extremely funny and brilliantly observed it also manages to be surprisingly poignant at times. It reminded me a little of Patrick Gale's more witty and unaffected early novels. Some might find it explicit in parts but it's unlikely to unsettle profoundly and you'd struggle not to laugh. I'm now wishing I had a physical copy to share.

5.0 out of 5 stars The next Narnia movie ?, 11 Nov 2012

It's always a surprise to me that every Narnia fan hasn't read this book. It's perhaps my favourite after The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. An exciting story with some wonderful new characters with names that only Mr Lewis could have conceived. A 'must' read for me.

Price: £7.19

5.0 out of 5 stars I've not read this in twenty years but I can still remember myself chuckling, 6 Nov 2012
This review is from: Don't Tell Alfred (Paperback)
Another book on my list of 'must be re-read' before I die ! I read everything Nancy Mitford ever wrote in my 20 and enjoyed all of them. This, I think. was one of my favourites. I might treat myself to a kindle edition and re-read

Postcards from the Edge
Postcards from the Edge
by Carrie Fisher
Edition: Paperback
Price: £7.99

5.0 out of 5 stars A proper laugh out loud read yet terribly touching, 6 Nov 2012
Carrie FIsher is right up there on my list of the ten people I most want to sit next door to at that imaginary dinner party. It's a few years since I read this but can still recall it being one of the funniest and most charming books I've ever read. It's probably time I re-read it

5.0 out of 5 stars A perfect present, 6 Nov 2012
I've just taken delivery of this box set and intend to give it as a Christmas present to an avid Lewis fan. I love the new jackets - really smart and I think it's good value for so many books.

Miserable to have just finished this and therefore knowing that I probably have to wait two or three years for the next instalment. Maupin is a genius

5.0 out of 5 stars Impossible to put down, 28 Oct 2012
The worst thing about starting any book by Armistead Maupin is knowing that will finish. His characters are always irresistible, the plots he weaves always end up so tidily at the end. His writing is beautiful without being complex or patronising. My favourite author without hesitation

I've enjoyed every book she has written. This is no exception. A perceptive, funny, accessible yet literate author. One of those books you don't want to finish

3.0 out of 5 stars Good product - Free on itunes not on Fire, 28 Oct 2012

This review is from: TuneIn Radio Pro (App)
This is a good APP that is free on the iTunes store. I have it on my phone. For some inexplicable reason you have to pay Amazon to use it on the FIRE
