5.0 out of 5 stars Inspirational and Informative Book, 25 May 2014

This book had me hooked at the Introduction…it's a beautifully crafted piece of printed matter, but it's also funny and warming…and honest in its approach from a leader in the speciality coffee world. The book is cram-packed full of great information and recipes. The informative sections are incredibly well written and very visual, so is a real dream for digesting information. Recipes look amazing too. Anyone into speciality coffee should buy this book. It's a favourite in our home…we fight over it!

This book is beautifully produced, it's a pleasure to hold in your hand. Great presentation and writing too.

But the important thing is the content…incredibly useful and digestible information about speciality coffee and brewing in the first section of the book. The rest is a guide of great coffee houses from San Fran to Seattle…even if you don't live in the US or plan on going to this great coffee region soon. I am UK based and only dream of this coffee research trip! It's still well worth the money. Great book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful piece of filmmaking, 25 May 2014
How this film is only getting 3 out of 5 is beyond me. This film is fantastic…one of the most beautifully shot films I've seen in a while, great colour too.
Great story, fabulous acting. Michelle Williams is great in this…and the good news is that it's not at all tacky. Blokes who like art house films will also like this…promise!

Watch it, you won't regret it. Hands down beats Blue Valentine by a million miles.

5 star film, worth a couple of hours of any film lovers time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well shot, well acted and surprising for its subject matter, 18 Nov 2009
this is a well shot, well written and on the whole, beautifully acted film. it is by far the best film i have watched where the main characters are lesbians.

it's bordering on a being an art house film so some people will hate it but if you're into art house cinema, it's well worth the money. i only have this on vhs, i haven't gotten round to updating, but it is the only thing to have graced my old video player in some time.

ally sheedy i think has her best ever performance...and this is coming from an 80's girl who was a big fan of St Elmo's Fire in my teens! sheedy is fantastic though, very believable and a strangely attractive character. radha mitchell is very good, again believable - though her acting has a brief moment or two of being a bit dodgy - overall she's good.

sheedy's girlfriend, greta, played by patricia clarkson, is brilliant. given the character, she could have so easily over-acted the part but she gets it just right. brilliant.

watch this if you're looking for a well shot, well acted film with an interesting art-house narrative. it has brief but good sex scenes which are handled well.

great film, the people who have slaughtered it in their reviews were clearly looking for a cheap thrill lesbian movie and not a real film with strong narrative which just so happens to include lesbian characters.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great, cheap alternative, 1 Aug 2009
We bought these chipped alternatives to the Canon cartridges, slightly nervous about using them. They arrived within 24 hours of ordering - very impressive....and, they have been great, had no problems with installing them - it was just exactly the same as the Canon cartridges.

They seem to be just as well built and secure as the Canon cartridges - i.e. had no concerns about leaks at all.

The print quality is very very good, I'm not sure if the colour saturation is absolutely as good as the Canon but I would say that they're 95% as good - maybe more! So for the difference in money I would definitely say that these are a fantastic find. We've used these for printing photographs, many times and they are absolutely fine - and our standards are very high!!

Buy these, they are such a cost saver - especially if you are a creative who uses a lot of ink...we've saved a fortune!
