Sleek, Sharp & Attractive, Yet Looks Replace the Functionality, 13 Sept. 2013
The Poetic FlipBook case is indeed a sleek and attractive product, concealing the HTC One in a lavish material offering grip and style (as advertised). However, certain descriptions I'm failing to take seriously now that I hold the product in my hand. From first impressions with the case, it looks (and feels) flimsy and poorly designed. The product's description states that it's shock-proof, but I'm finding it hard to believe this case could even protect my expensive phone from a several centimetre drop onto a concrete floor.
The product claims to be sturdy, yet the front-facing flip cover is thin and flimsy, poorly tapered and cut, and lacks any means to safely seal the front cover to the base - leaving your phone vulnerable and defenceless!
To conclude, this phone case is stylish, sleek and attractive, but as stated, it falls down on functionality. If you're careful with your phone, the functionality is a pay off for the style, but those looking to keep their smartphone safe should look the other way.
