5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality and versatile drawing paper, 4 July 2014

Good quality drawing paper - I use it mainly for pen and ink drawings, and the texture is just right - not too textured and not too thin.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great album by one of the best British songwriters since Lennon/McCartney and Bowie!, 4 July 2014
This review is from: Everyday Robots (Audio CD)
I'm not sure what so people have against this album. Yes it is melancholy in places, but it's also incredibly beautiful. It's also incredibly catchy too - I defy anyone not to sing along to the second part of 'You and Me' which IMO is one of his best songs in years!

If you like Blur, the Gorillaz, or indeed any of the other projects Damon has put his name to in recent years, and give this album a genuine chance, you will be rewarded with one of the best albums of the year, and one of Damon's best!

5.0 out of 5 stars Their best album in years!, 4 July 2014
This review is from: Ghost Stories (Audio CD)
One of their best albums. I have to admit I went off Coldplay following Mylo Xyloto - some good tunes, but for me it was just a bit too long, and over-produced. Coldplay by numbers. Ghost Stories has some really lovely songs on it, and though the production is different to early records it def has that classic Coldplay vibe to it - honest, sincere, and genuinely emotional! Personal favourites are Ink - great middle eight, Magic, Oceans, O, and of course Sky Full of Stars which for me is their best single in years! If you liked X&Y and Viva La Vida you will enjoy this!

Great solo performances here, most in Monk's trademark stride style. Stand out tracks are Monk's versions of 'Dinah' and 'I'm Confessin'. Buy it now!

4.0 out of 5 stars Long lost John., 25 Oct. 2010
I've always had a soft spot for this album, so was curious what this stripped down version would sound like. If you're a Lennon fan, and wondering which of these remastered albums to get, then get this one! Yes, the songs are familiar, but freed of its 1980's "bells and whistles" production, and with the unfamiliar arrangements, you could almost believe this was a new album. In fact, even Lennon's vocals sound like alternative takes. 'Watching the Wheels' really shines now - bass, drums, a single piano, and John's vocal. The whole thing really comes to life now. Another classic is 'Woman' which has never sounded sweeter. Now just John's acoustic guitar and vocal, bass, and drums - this is easily one of the best songs John wrote, full stop. In fact, the whole thing now sounds like the happy cousin of Plastic Ono Band (and thats a good thing). Buy it!
