4G Purple Flip Case + Purple Sock & Ice Box Cover for the New Apple iPod nano 4th Generation 8GB & 16GB + Neck Strap
4G Purple Flip Case + Purple Sock & Ice Box Cover for the New Apple iPod nano 4th Generation 8GB & 16GB + Neck Strap

1.0 out of 5 stars Cheap and flimsy, 5 Feb 2010
Flip Case - made from cheap material and broke the first week I had it. It also contains magnets to keep the lid shut which wiped the memory on my ipod and caused the battery to empty.

Ice box cover - came with lots of scratches all over. Once the ipod is clipped in it's really difficult to get out again. Makes the ipod look tacky.

Sock - the only useful item in the pack. £6.99 for a sock isn't really value-for-money though!

4.0 out of 5 stars Lovely mat, 4 Feb 2010
This review is from: Multi Coloured Striped Doormat
This is a very pretty door mat, and gets lots of comments from guests. I've only had it a month though and already the the coir material is starting to come out very easily, making a mess of my carpet. Plus the brighter colours fade quickly once dirt gets deposited, and I've found that it does curl at the corners quite a bit. It's a nice mat though and does brighten up my doorstep!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not a wrist strap, 4 Feb 2010
This is an excellent quality strap, but is not a wrist strap as it appears in the picture. It's approximately 60cm long, so is more of a neck strap.

5.0 out of 5 stars The birds love it!, 4 Feb 2010
This review is from: Meripac Complete Window Feeder
I was very impressed with the quality of this bird feeder. I'd previously bought an RSPB window feeder which really wasn't up to much - the suckers didn't grip very well and it felt very flimsy. By comparison, the Meripac feeder is made from a thicker plastic which has withstood the recent freezing temperatures very well. It attaches with two suckers which have excellent grip, plus you can use the piece of string provided to ensure the bottom section doesn't drop to the floor when you are changing the food over (I find this very useful as I live in a first-floor flat and magpies sometimes knock the tray off trying to get hold of the fat balls). The string loops through the top and bottom sections and you pull it through the window before you close it. There is a little compartment inside the main tray for water or a different type of seed, and the two fat ball holders fit small fat balls very well.

The best bit about this feeder though is that the birds seem to love it - more so than the RSPB feeder which probably wobbles too much. At £10 this feeder is also £5 cheaper than the RSPB version. I'm definitely going to invest in a couple more, and will probably pass a few on as gifts. An excellent product, highly recommended!

4.0 out of 5 stars Extra tools = big and heavy, 23 Nov 2009
There were no measurements for the Champ on the Amazon website, so when I opened the box I was quite surprised at how big and heavy it was (it's 9 cm long, 3 cm wide and 185 g). Due to its weight and size, and the fact that some of the tools stick out from the main body quite a bit, I'd be reluctant to put this in my pocket - you really need to purchase a pouch to go with it. Plus, the plastic red cover was scratched when I opened the box, so I expect that it will look quite tatty in a few months time.

Overall though this model contains an excellent selection of tools and they all feel pretty robust. It was excellent value for money and I'm sure it will last me a while. I also bought one for my dad and he absolutely loved it - an excellent gift idea for the practical man who is difficult to buy for!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Wii game, 17 Nov 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
I've owned my Wii for a while now, so have quite a number of popular Wii games, but this is undoubtedly the best, and the one I go back to time and time again. To get the most out of it though you do need a second Wii remote and wheel. Once you've unlocked all the tracks in 1-player mode, you can enjoy them all in 2+ player mode and there are a few old classic tracks as well as the sparkly new ones. Friends often ask to play when they come round and it provides hours of entertainment! It's also a good game to play on your own - either in 1-player mode or online. Online racing is quite fun as it's fast-paced and you get to play with some interesting characters (the only drawback is the poorer graphics quality).

Overall, this game is brilliant fun for all the ages (the 80-year-old grandparents love it) and one that will entertain you for a long time to come!

5.0 out of 5 stars I love my Dyson!, 17 Nov 2009
I was really reluctant to buy a Dyson because the early models looked cheap and bulky, and I'd heard reports of bits breaking off etc. But I've tried Electrolux (rubbish) and Hoover (really, really awful) machines in the past and they didn't last very long. So I eventually gave in to the Dyson hype and bought this model, and I'm so so glad I did!

It's light and easy to push around, and the suction is just incredible! Plus everything fits together perfectly and it feels really robust. Also, the flex is really long so I can hoover my whole flat if I plug it in in the hall, and the front is small so it fits under the bed and coffee table easily.

There are only a couple of problems with it. 1) the suction is so powerful the tools can be a bit difficult to use. 2) it's not a totally hygienic emptying system as sometimes you have to put your hand in to get jammed hair etc out.

Apart from these minor problems, it's awesome, and looks pretty cool too! I haven't used it on a wooden floor but it works well on tiles. And if you register online you get reminders every three months to clean your filters (some people may find this irritating but I think it's quite good). It is an expensive machine but if you buy on Amazon then you get a good price, and I really do feel that it's a worthwhile investment!

Kidde Carbon Monoxide Alarm
Kidde Carbon Monoxide Alarm

5.0 out of 5 stars Best CO alarm at bargain price, 16 Nov 2009
This is, in my opinion, the best carbon monoxide alarm available on the market at the moment, and is really worth buying on Amazon because of the bargain price. You will not be able to buy this alarm for much less than the RRP in any shop - believe me, I've searched! I've bought three of them now; one for my granddad (has really old boiler), my mum (oil central heating) and myself (reliant on letting agent to service boiler), and they just offer peace of mind for all of us. The best bit about this alarm is the backlit display and peak-level indicator. I often press the button when I'm passing the monitor just to check that the level hasn't increased above zero. This model also comes with a pull-out bit at the back so you can stand it up on a shelf, rather than having to drill the bracket into the wall.

There is no way of telling if the carbon monoxide level in your home is too high until it's too late, so this is a really essential purchase for any home-owner, whether your boiler is new or old!

1.0 out of 5 stars Broke within weeks, 15 Nov 2009
I bought this for my boyfriend to take snowboarding this season, but within a few weeks the watch mechanism had fallen out. If it won't stand up to infrequent, light use, then Breo definitely shouldn't be calling it a 'sports' watch. It looks cool, but unfortunately that's as far as it goes!

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful film, 18 Oct 2009
This review is from: The Chorus [DVD] [2004] (DVD)
This film is deservedly my most favourite film of all time. Everyone I've lent it to has loved it, particularly the men for some reason. And it's a bargain on Amazon! I strongly suggest everyone buy it and save it for a rainy Sunday afternoon. It will fill you with joy, I assure you. I admit, the subtitles are a bit irritating, but they don't detract from this wonderful story.
