1.0 out of 5 stars not 2.5ams for sure, thin, slow cable, 20 Aug. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Not 2.5 amps for sure.
Cable looks well made, but I can not charge my samsung tablet which requires 2amp. Tablet displays red x on the battery which means that it is charging on a slower rate. While turned on, my tablet discharges with this cable faster than it charges. Samsung stock cable is thicker and charges quickly so it is not an issue with a tablet or a charger.
It may be fine for a phone which requires around 1amp, but useless for a tablet

P.s. just checked my stock phone cable which comes with 1amp charger. It is also thicker and charges my tablet faster than this cable, but slower than a stock tablet cable. I can not measure but I assume that this Ultrics cable provides no more than 0.5 - 0.7 amps

1.0 out of 5 stars FAKE, 7 Jan. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Please note that these batteries are fake and are not genuine. On the packing it states "Maxell", but on the cell itself it is "Fante".
I have some "Sony", "Maxell" and "Panasonic" CR2032 cells for comparison and manufacturer is clearly printed on the cell.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not so good as most reviews say, 5 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought this one mainly because of positive reviews there, but I am dissatisfied with it.
1. After only one day of use the quick release plate got loose from the ball. It is being held by 1 hex screw. I was able to fasten it back with Allen key but only after my holidays when I came back home. Hope it will hold tight now.
2. "independent adjustment knobs" are not that independent as advertised. I was expecting that it would be enough to position and fasten the head with only one knob and use the other for friction control only. Unfortunately that is not possible. I always had to release both knobs before positioning the camera and always secure both to fasten it. Using only one knob does not provide smooth ball movements and stable locking.
I find Manfrotto 484 RC2 (predecessor of 494 RC2) much easier to use than this one as you can hold the camera with one hand and lock it with the other one. For this head you would need 3 hands.
3. If you are shooting in portrait mode you have to release all 3 knobs as otherwise you will not be able to reposition camera sideways.
4. While locking a positioned camera I noticed a slight movement of the camera downwards. That was not because of the camera weight as I was still holding it, but it was an issue with the mechanics of the head forcing it to move slightly. I noticed that with super wide canon 10-22mm lenses so I think with telephoto lenses that would be much worse.
5. It is big compared to much smaller Manfrotto 484 RC2, but gives less stability.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good small tripod, with average head, 12 Dec. 2013
Bought this one for use with DSLR for light traveling, not expecting it to be high.
Pros:
Ligthweight - just 740g
Small - 42cm in length, but if you have a small rucksack you can unscrew the head and it will be just 36 cm.
Quite solid - mostly mate of metal. Only central column screw head is made of plastic and leg fixators. For heavier camera do not extend last leg section for extra stability.

Cons:
Ball head. Doesn't seem very sturdy with DSLR on it. The bolt head is little bit too small to tighten it easily. After I tightened it hardly, the camera seems to stay in position, but I can still move the camera with little effort - so not too stable. Because the head doesn't have reinforcement on the tightening bolt thread if you will over tighten - it probably will break (thread at that place is only 3mm thick, while compared to better head it has more than 1 cm).

I will check how it works in a field and maybe I'll get a better head later.

The locking nut is much bigger that bolt - it still screws and locks, but it is very loose. Still using it sometimes, but wouldn't recommend it or buy another one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect to carry around, 10 Dec. 2013

Had it ~3 years ago. Good size to carry in backpack or shoulder bag. One of the biggest foldable umbrella when extended and quite sturdy to guarantee you dryness during strong rain. Broke it after ~2.5 years after lots of rain, wind and falling. Bought another one.

2.0 out of 5 stars Ok for dry season, waterproof only for a while, 23 Nov. 2013
Bought 2 years ago for my one month's trip to Latin America. Used them daily without any issues and even when it rained for ~3 days feet stayed dry.
Also used them for a week or two in the alps in dry weather with some snow. Because of a deep snow got some of it through the top so feet was a bit wet - but that's ok.
In the end of the summer used them in 4 day Snowdonia hike. It was raining the second day and my feet got totally wet. Wasn't happy at all especially when had only one pair of shoes and a tent to dry them up.
Tried their waterproofness after returning home by submerging few centimeters (up to 5) into water - in few seconds lots of water was inside right one and left one came a bit later after some more water. Also upper cushioning is coming off from inside for one shoe.
So I haven't used them longer than 2 months in total and they are no more waterproof. I guess for few more months they will be ok for dry weather.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very bad, 24 Dec. 2012
I was travelling abroad and wanted a cheap tripod because wasn't sure if it won't be confiscated from my cabin baggage during security check at airport. I was lucky, but I was sad I didn't take at least 2-3 times more expensive tripod, cause this one is really crappy and it's almost impossible to set it up.
1) never thought using central column extended, but this tripod is not even stable without central column extended
2) head is very badly build: you can't get stableness on vertical/horizontal axis because of design
3) almost all parts are plastic
4) quick release doesn't lock firmly

In general it is not worth - you'll have more problems with it than using few dozens of bricks. Buy a good one, if you don't have money, try find a good used tripod.

P. S. I bought it from different seller.
