Jelly Roll Morton, 24 Sep 2006
The music and the sound quality met the standards required for me to enjoy it. There were enough 'hooks' to this album of old music that I enjoyed listening to it repeatedly and thus discovered further depth to the pieces.
A fine collection of short and densely composed (in the vein of Radiohead's recent single 2+2=5) pioneering tracks with traditional jazz timbres tinging the album with some childhood nostalgia (remembering Tom and Jerry). Quite unusual placed in more modern contexts.
