Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Very interesting methods for frequent traders. However, one thing which was obvious from the author's many examples was his deep knowledge of the sectors which he was trading and his reliance on that knowledge.

The Little Book of Commodity Investing (Little Book, Big Profits)
The Little Book of Commodity Investing (Little Book, Big Profits)
by John F. Maudlin
Edition: Hardcover
Price: £13.99

5.0 out of 5 stars To Include With Others, 17 Nov. 2011
A very useful book. I am not a trader and therefore am only interested in actual commodities rather than methods of investing.
I don't think it's wise to buy only one book on this subject. With that in mind, this is a very useful addition, covering details which are not always covered in other books.

5.0 out of 5 stars First Rate, 13 Oct. 2011
A cracking good read. It's a biography of a very special person whose contribution to the war in the Atlantic is almost forgotten today.
He was responsible for sinking more U-Boats than any other commander with his skilled and aggressive tactics, yet managed to protect merchant ships under his protection very effectively. As a result of his success, many of his tactics were adopted by the navy.

Economics for Real People: An Introduction to the Austrian School
Economics for Real People: An Introduction to the Austrian School
by Gene Callahan
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars Rare common sense, 21 Aug. 2011
A very good description of the basis of Austrian Economics. The author uses various analogies which seem just basic common sense when you're presented with them, yet he explains that some of the concepts are not accepted or understood by classical economists.
He also includes a very brief history of the Austrian School.
Very enlightening.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good General Overview, 28 April 2011
Just what I needed. It gave a good general overview of the main commodities. In each case, there was a chart, a brief description, history and outlook. This is idea for an investor (not trader) like me who needed that general guidance.
