5.0 out of 5 stars Heroics On Next-Gen, 22 Mar 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've been waiting for thus game for a very long time having been a big fan of the PS3 games and so I tried and largely succeeded to avoid spoilers. I'm not going to spoil anything here but this game is just amazing. The story, characters, location etc easily makes this the best game on PS4. I can not recommend this game enough to those who are not only fans of the series but also for those who are looking for a true next-gen game. Plus, in this edition you get a beenie hat replica of our heroes/villains favourite headwear.

I'd also like to say thanks to Amazon Logistics delivery for delivering this not just on the day but at around 08:15am ☺. Best delivery service by far!

5.0 out of 5 stars PS 4 THE PLAYERS, 2 Dec 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I pre-ordered the PS4 a long time ago it seems and to finally have it in the form of the Killzone Bundle is fantastic. It arrived on time and without any damaged goods.

It's beautifully designed from the shell right to it's core and there is clearly a lot of potential here. I never knew how old my PS3 was until I saw this. The interface is so clean and fresh and well thought out having a 2 tiered menu system with updates for games/system happening in the background. The speed of the system puts last-gen in the dark and you get a sense of feeling that the console wants to be your best friend. (Though to get the best from PS4 you will need an internet connection).

The Dualshock 4 has also evolved from last gen. It feels so solid and comfortable. The indents in the analogue sticks gives you added support for when things start to get sweaty and the 'start' button has been replaced with an 'options' button and 'select' has been replaced with an intuative 'share' button. The share button has 3 functions which allows you to take screens shots, record a video of you playing and it's a link to upload your epic fails or heroics to the world wide web so everyone can see how good or bad you are. And if you wished that somebody was watching you play the game cheering you on, that's possible too via live-streaming your gameplay online.
The most obvious change is the light bar. This light bar becomes a part of the game, for instance in Killzone:SF it's used to represent your health. If it's green your healthy but if its red you better be careful. Another new feature is the touchpad which is easy to use. Again in Killzone:SF, it's used to select a feature for your droid. Swiping in a particular direction will allow your droid to operate in your favour. These are just simple features that tend to add more to the experience than first thought.

PS VITA remote play is here too. Just to demonstrate how good it is I chose to play Killzone:SF. I set it up over my phone network whilst background downloads were ongoing and I was astonished at how well this worked. Not only was it downloading games over my phone network and streaming a PS4 game to my vita but it was 1:1 with Killzone on the big screen. What's more is that I was playing ONLINE! It was perfect. There was no lag whatsoever! I couldn't find any fault with it on my vita.

So to wrap up, this is a very very good machine. It's powerful and it will be your best friend until PS5 arrives. It's a big leap forward from last gen and it's a purchase so worthy of your money because you will love it. Even if you don't know it yet.

10/10

3.0 out of 5 stars Great, but..., 25 Oct 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I'll split this into 2 parts;

The Product :
This shirt was a great find. It's a good fit, it's very comfortable and it looks good. It's a good price and I'd buy it again for sure.

The Seller ('The Prime Group'):
From the day I ordered, I had to wait 9 days for delivery! 4 days after it was dispatched! If I pay for delivery I expect it much quicker than 9 days. Might have well stuck it on the back of a snail and sent it on its way. At least it was the right order though. I Doubt I'd ever buy from these again. Maybe I was just unlucky but I've never had to wait anything like that long before.

If not for the seller I would have given it 5* I suppose good things do come to those who wait :)

4.0 out of 5 stars Don't Resist Purchase!, 2 Jun 2012
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Having read multiple reviews from all over the 'net I was just a skeptical as the next guy. I've played and enjoyed the Resistance series since the very beginning on PS3. It's Vita debut has set the bar high enough to ensure a good fun experience on the go and it feels very reminiscent of Resistance: Fall of Man - which is not a bad thing.

The graphics aren't great, but they are good for the most part. Here and there you may find a slightly low res texture but nothing worrying and let's face it, you want to shoot aliens - not decorate. Shooting aliens is simple and fun. The dual analogue sticks work very well together to create a a true FPS experience and help you on your way to fight against the invasion. There are a good range of weapons such as the trusty Carbine and the legendary Bullseye and Auger as well as many new weapons. With the shoulder buttons used for the basic 'aim and shoot', the secondary fire has been implemented on screen. For example, using the Bullseye's 'Tag' you simple momentarily hold your finger on screen, selecting your target and that's it. But it's not all 'samey'. For the Augers shield, you spread your fingers out across the screen (as if you were zooming in) and your shield is deployed. The screen is also used for your grenades. You can either hold down on the grenade and move it into the action for great accuracy or you can just click it and he will throw it roughly where you're looking. The ax icon is also on screen so whenever a chimera gets a little too close, it's just a tap away. Guns can also be upgraded when you collect 'Grey-Tech'. Each weapon allows 2 upgrades at a time such as better range, explosive tag etc which will help you see off the invasion.

I haven't got too involved in the multiplayer yet but I did give it a little go. You can obviously select your 'loadout's' and save 3 combinations. Better guns etc become unlocked as you level up and you can add 2 upgrades per weapon. Game modes consist of the regular '(Team) Deathmatch' types (both available as small and large games) and there is a 'Survival' mode which sees you shooting for your life to prevent yourself from converting to a Chimera. Online play is tends to be catered for short bursts rather than enduring battles but that's not to say they're not good. There is no lag and matches load quickly (which is always good).

So in summary, it's not the perfect shooter but it does work well and as the first true dual-analogue FPS on a portable device, so it can stand proudly in your Vita collection.

My score... 8/10

Being a life long Nickelback fan I had no 2nd thoughts about pre-ordering this album. Thanks to Amazon is arrived on the Saturday before release so I've had plenty of time to listen to this album. Naturally I've had it on repeat because it's just so damn good. Every song is 5* by me, from the hard hitting 'This Means War' to the melodic 'Lullaby' it's just pure class. It's well written and composed and you'll finish the album wishing it didn't have to end.

Like the first, this game is above all fun with an engaging story that introduces new and interesting characters as well as some of the old. If you played the first (and if not, you should), you will be aware of 'The Beast'. It's your duty to bring him down and it all takes place in New Marais (New Orleans) which is beautifully crafted with many terrain variations to use to your advantage. Of course he's not the only enemy tearing up the streets. Not only are the regular goons trying to kill you, there are some interesting mutants scattered all over the city that will keep you occupied, earning xp to gain upgrades that surpass what we saw in the first game. The graphics too have been given an 'Uncharted' feel which makes the whole experience more enjoyable and satisfying. Also the re-playability factor, playing as the hero or infamous is just the start as there is now a 'create your own feature' that allows you to create your own missions from a range of categories that you can share with the world. So all in all, it's a must buy - an instant classic, I just hope there is an Infamous 3...

This is a good looking jacket and I would recommend it to anyone. There is a zip to fasten the jacket but first you have got to get through the velcro. The velcro is the only let down, but don't let that put you off. It's very comfortable and goes nice with jeans. BE WARY OF THE SIZE though as it is smaller than what it indicates. This X-large is a regular size large so this wouldn't fit you're a regular X-large.

3.0 out of 5 stars Half a game, 20 Dec 2008
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Mirror's Edge (PS3) (Video Game)
This is a first person game that you play from the view of a woman named 'Faith'. You are a runner, trained to deliver pakages as a career by jumping over rooftops and fences and swinging of poles. Your sister has been framed for murder and it's up to you to rescue her. It's a fictional city but it is beautiful. The graphics are pretty with great lighting effects that really create a sense of depth. As you play through the game you will be chased by the police as they try to kill you without warning. The best thing to do is run but you can fight and takle them for their weapons but you won't need a gun for long. This game however lacks diversity. It seems that although you are an amazing runner and you have got the whole city to jump around, but your not, and you havn't. Basically, depending on the obsticle in front you either jump over it or slide under it and when it's not that you scale a wall. There should be options on how to do it, like roll over it or summersault but sadly not. The route is pre-set for you so you don't need to look around, just follow the red objects. It just seems so lineer. You might as well buy the 'Bejing olympic games'. I completed the game in about 6 hours and when I saw the credits roll I couldn't help but feel that this game is over priced and over rated. There are tons of games that offer you good value, like Resistance 1&2, Fifa 09 and Midnight Club LA but this is bareley worth the discount price.

I know it;s not out yet but I'm having trouble containing myself as I am a huge fan. This is going to be an essential album, I have the first single already calelled 'Gotta be somebody' and it sounds gr8. It seems a bit more mature than what they have done before but if you like Nickelback then you will want to buy this.
