2.0 out of 5 stars Good size, Sucks on data transfer rate, 24 Jan 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is not a bad price for the capacity (at the time of writing), however, it is by far and away the slowest usb stick I have ever used. It'll take over 20 minutes to move a gig of data... If you're not in a rush, then this might do. One thing is for sure, you'll take an age to fill it....

3.0 out of 5 stars Cheap but not bad, 22 Feb 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
It is at the cheaper end of the pulse oximeter range, and so you expect it to have a few quirks. Main quirks are it takes a little while to settle (it always reads 130+ when first switched on), and it is quite sensitive to position on the finger, certain variations causing it to misread pulse echos (and thus double count), other than that, a good bit of kit that has become a firm favourite in my freediving training kit.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the EBM band, 26 Mar 2010

This is not the Grendel that made Harsh Generation or Soilbleed, so don't get confused by Amazon's dodgy classification. I bought this to see what it was and I found that actually it is not bad, fairly standard hard rock, and well produced, so if that's what you are looking for go for it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Softcore Grendel ?, 26 Mar 2010

I like Grendel, and so I'm going to give this 4 stars, but there has been a decline from the harder themes of the Harsh Generation towards more inoffensive and smoother presentation, certainly End of Ages had a gentler approach, and this album continues the trend, so much so that some tracks could be by Son of Rust. It is not bad (I quite like Son of Rust too, but you see the point), it is great if that is what you are looking for, but fans of intense, high energy aggrotech will find this flatter and more benign than you'd expect from Grendel.

2.0 out of 5 stars A step in an interesting but basically "wrong" direction, 14 July 2006

This album has been greatly anticipated, the delivery has however been a little... further from the FLA style than was expected. The majority of the album is neither top FLA nor is it dire. Its good enough, and once you get over the change of style it is acceptable as an album (with the exception of the guest vocalist on "Future Fail" who is just laughable - anyone who has heard WAT by Laibach will immediately fall about laughing).

In terms of the "modern" FLA styling, Civilisation and Implode are still the best albums, the change of beats did nothing for me, and the album seems to lack direction/focus.

Shame really, because I really enjoyed all of the other FLA releases, and it is this comparison with their earlier work that causes the poor perception of this album.

If you are a die hard FLA fan [and I am] and you want to avoid being disappointed [and I am] you'll definitely want to listen to the samples [which I didn't - I pre-ordered it :-( ].

5.0 out of 5 stars shambolic and poor... everything you'd expect, 3 Feb 2006

The Shatner is up there with the Hasselhof in the seventh circle of self-deluding naffness. Talents like these are mercifully rare.
If you have a friend who likes Shakespear, buy this for them, the damage done by Shatner to Henry's speech brings laughter and tears to my eyes, but watching someone else suffer it is even funnier.
Just dont take the fool seriously... you'll have a brain haemorage.

A hybrid of seemingly impossible genres, but they pull it off, and more! This has to be one of the best albums I have ever heard. If you have a dark classical side, or even if you just like metal and have an open mind then this worth buying, just listen to "nothing else matters"...
This band and their work need to be celibrated. Six stars...
