5.0 out of 5 stars Haiku - Dave Lewis, 10 April 2016

Having enjoyed the occasional haiku contained in Dave's previous collections, I was pleased to be able to download this book, dedicated solely to the form. The informative background information made me appreciate just how much skill is involved in expressing complex ideas in such a (seemingly) simple way. Split into four sections to reflect the changing seasons, this is an excellent collection which has left me wanting more. Easily the most deserving five star rating I have ever submitted.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent!!, 10 April 2016

Although darker than the previous collections, this book is of an equally high standard. Exploring themes familiar to us all (love, death, illness, family, etc), Dave writes with his usual sensitivity and passion, his words guaranteed to strike a chord with his many readers. Excellent !!

The eagerly anticipated third book in this trilogy is every bit as compelling as the previous two (Ctrl-Alt-Delete and RSEIE). Set in a much smaller arena (Cardiff/Rhondda Valleys), the tale of Hagar's homecoming provides some unexpected twists and turns along the way, with the final confrontation revealing a secret you won't see coming! Highly recommended (ideally reading all three books in order) Easily worthy of a 5 star rating

5.0 out of 5 stars Well deserving of a 5* rating!!, 28 Jan. 2013
This review is from: Layer Cake (Paperback)
This is a magical little book which shows us there are still great poets living in Wales. Honest and moving, yet simply written and easy to understand. A writer who has the ability to create heart-wrenching images of everyday life with the minimum of fuss.

A witty and intelligent read, with a helluva twist at the end. Highly enjoyable, thoroughly recommended - fingers crossed there'll be a sequel. Well deserving of a 5 star rating.
