5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent read, 30 Dec 2006
Like the other reviewer for this book I decided to read this after watching the film Finding Neverland (which I love). I was very suprised to see how different the book was from the film but found the extra information about J M Barrie and the Davies family really gripping. I received this book for Christmas and once I started reading it I found it very difficult to put down. It is a very emotional story and I definately recommend it to anyone that loves Peter Pan or the film Finding Neverland. It has prompted me to find more biographies on J M Barrie as this book deals mainly with his relationship with the LD boys and reading the book as made me want to find out about the later part of his life

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my all time favourite films, 29 Jan 2006
This review is from: The King And I [DVD] (DVD)
There can not be many people out there who have not at some point seen this film, but just in case there are a few who have somehow managed to miss this film, you really do need to see it. The songs are fantastic, its looks beautiful and the ending makes me cry every time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Definately worth a read, 29 Jan 2006
I first found out about this book because I became interested in the musical adaptation and I loved that so much I decided to order the book. To start with I wasn't that impressed but I am so glad that I stuck with it. Although it's setting is familar to people who know the Oz stories (or at least have seen the film), this is Oz with a twist and this adds to the enjoymnent because things are not at all what you expect. Although you know what the ending is going to be, how the author takes you there and gets you to consider what is evil and whether someone is born evil is fasinating, and as i got closer to the end of the book I couldn't put it down. I will definately be purchasing other books by this author

If you haven't read these you really should try them. I read them when I was a child and I refuse to get rid of them because I still enjoy them so much today. I can not remember how many times I have read them already and I am sure that I will read them many times more

5.0 out of 5 stars better than the secret garden, 14 Sep 2005
This review is from: The Lost Prince (Paperback)
As much as I love The Secret Garden and A Little Princess, the books that Frances Hodheson Burnett is probably best known for, this is definitely my favourite. I managed to pick up a very scruffy second hand copy at a car boot sale years ago and it is now even scruffier as it has been picked up and re-read many a time! It tells the story of a young boy who travels round Europe with his homeless friend "the rat" to pass round the messeges that the lost prince is returning to his country. It is a fantastic story and definetely worth reading!

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is a must read, 14 April 2005
This review is from: Where Rainbows End (Paperback)
I happened to pick up ps i love you and read it in under a day because i just couldnt put it down and so i was delighted when i found this by the author. Like ps i love you it is impossible to stop reading it once you have started. It took me a while to get used to the fact that the entire book is a series of letters, emails and text messages but once i decided that this was a clever way to tell a story i loved this book. i cant wait for the next book by this author!
