5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful, 22 Sep 2004
This review is from: The Union Of Souls (Audio CD)
Despite being a lot less agressive that their other works, 3 Colours Red absolutly shine in this album. The tracks of most interest in my oppinion are 'Land Of Debris', 'Union of Souls', 'Ceasefire' and 'F.C.K.U'

5.0 out of 5 stars Best I've Heard In A Long Time, 22 Sep 2004
This review is from: Welcome Home (Audio CD)
This, the second of Four Star Mary's UK albums, is possibly the best thing I have heard since the dawning days of the Spice Girls. With songs to match all intents, purposes and moods, this is indeed one of the best albums on the market. I highly recommend this to anyone who liked the first album or is a fan of the bands 3 Colours Red, 3 Doors Down or Hoobastank.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, 26 Feb 2004
This review is from: Distort (Audio CD)
This album has all of Collide's haunting music combiened with dance music and remixes of various kinds. KARin's voice is a pleasure to hear, the best to concentrate on being 'Strange', 'Pandora's box' and 'Obsession'.
Statik's music that usually backs the songs is slightly drowned out by the remixes which is a shame but there are moments when his music still shines including on one track which is fully remixed by Statik himself.
I would recoment this to all fans of Collide and other negative pop bands. It is worth the money and the accompanying website is also worth a look as it contains lyrics, pictures and an online store to KARin's own market line 'Sains & Sinners'.

4.0 out of 5 stars New..., 26 Feb 2004
This review is from: Burning Season (Audio CD)
I purchased this album not so long ago and i have to say that i was extremly impressed. Usually bands like Faith & the muse, Candlebox, Four Star Mary etc. have track listings that sound interesting but are infact all very similar and therefore not what you were expecting.
Each song on this album has its own unique style and in particular i favour the title track 'The burning season', swiftly followed by 'Boudiccea'.
I would strongly recomend this album to fans of negative pop like Evanescence, Bif Naked, K's choice and Four Star Mary. Happy listening.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, 23 Feb 2004
This review is from: Learn to Draw People (Paperback)
This book is one of the best of the collins learn to draw range. It starts with the basic shapes of a various faces and the proportions that are important to a beginner.
It goes on to explain how to enphasise features of the face and how to add colour to the drawing. It also features close ups on certain features such as the eyes nose and mouth as well as body proportion and different angles of a person.
I would recommend this to anyone trying to draw people whether they are a beginner or just need to perfect their technique. I found it very helpful and can now draw faces quite well, when i first got the book my faces consisted of a circle with three dots for the eyes and nose and a line for the mouth with a 'stick-man' body.
Good luck to all in learn to draw as well as i can with the help of this books and i recommend the other published works in the collins learn to draw series, they are well worth the money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, 2 Feb 2004
I recently watched this film and i must say i thought that it was absolutly brilliant. It is the story of six people and their individual lives and how they collide with one another.
This movie hosts a number of lesser known stars, as well as a few well known ones (such as Hugo Weaving as a movie producer).
The three girls are all good friends throughout the film, as are the boys and i must say that if you are a fan of realistic movies that relate closly to life stories of every day people then this film is a must see.

My gradmother bought this when i was a child and i must say that to this day i believe it to be the best aductaion of Peter and the Wolf that i have ever seen.
It sports all the original music for peter and the wolf in a haunting childrens tale, though i would not recomend it for children as the wolf i found particually scary when i was younger and now the music that accompanies the wolf strikes fear into my heart.

5.0 out of 5 stars Alan Rickman can sing!!!!, 17 Dec 2003
This review is from: Help! I'm A Fish (Audio CD)
A great CD which i have owned for a few months now. Includes great songs from the movie such as 'Suddenly', 'Do you believe in magic', and the main theme from the movie 'I'm a little yellow fish'. Well worth buying if you were a fan of the movie and congratulations to Alan Rickman for the perfect vocals to the song 'Inteligence'!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Scenes...., 17 Dec 2003
This is a great collection of episodes from the second series. Penelope Keith plays her part beautifully as a woman of high class - a part to which she has become something of a stereotype. Not as good at the first series but definatly worth a look if your a fan of the series as i have noticed that their are odd additional scenes slipped in that were not shown on the TV...

4.0 out of 5 stars 17 and still in love with badger..., 17 Dec 2003
I love the Wind in the Willows with a passion and have had all these videos since they came out. I strongly advise anyone who enjoys the old cartoons (eg. Count Duckular) to get this. Of all the videos this has to be my favourite, Cosgrove Hall has certainly outdone itself, I don't think they will ever create another video as good as this one, it's just a shame it hasn't been converted to DVD yet.
