2.0 out of 5 stars Started OK, but already failing, 17 Dec 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
So the good part is these have a nice clean white light, fit into a standard fitting without protruding, and "look the part".

The bad news is one of the lights has already started to fail after a few months and flickers with its power output going up and down.

This is a lot of money to spend on a bulb that only lasts such a short amount of time, and is not exactly an environmentally friendly replacement as a result.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Selection of Sweets, 17 Dec 2013

I bought this for a "Secret Santa" present and the recipient loved it. A good selection of retro sweets that people born in a certain era will remember well.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worked fine at the start - but not for long, 12 July 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
When this first arrived everything seemed fine, but after a couple of weeks the output seems to have dropped right down. This no longer has the power to charge my phone whilst using the sat nav app so I've had to buy an alternative.

I bought this to be a high speed charger, and it is definately not that.

1.0 out of 5 stars Four bulbs purchased - none worked, 12 Dec 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Not much to say apart from all four bulbs I ordered didn't work. Worse than that when removing the bulb from the fitting the aluminium housing unscrewed from the base leaving the mains power exposed and the bottom the fitting "stuck" in the light.

Cannot recommend at all.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dangerous Item - Don't Buy, 2 Jan 2012
The product sent to me melted on the first use filling the kitchen with acrid smoke and exposing the wiring inside as the hanjdle and retaining screws melted.

Checking the serial and date numbers this product was recalled in March 2011.

From the European Consumer Affairs website

1.0 out of 5 stars 3 Weeks before I got infamous "click of death", 24 Mar 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Like others I wish I'd read a few more reviews on this product before I bought it.

For the first couple of weeks the drive performed fine. Now I'm getting the infamous "click of death" problem with this drive. Try googling "seagate expansion click of death" for more gripes on this.

The drive keeps disconnecting and reconnecting when idle, and then goes into this maddening clicking routine.

Given this is a backup drive for me I've now lost any confidence in it's ability to be reliable should I need to restore anything. Replacing the USB cable supplied with a better one I had lying around has helped reduce the problems with it freezing/clicking/disconnecting, but not remove them.

Personally I'm trying to return the device, and will look elsewhere for an alternative if possible.

I could not recommend this device to anyone.
